    Wise words there - I was a fully paid up memeber of the 'buy it now and worry about insurance later' club when I bought mine and for 24 with 5 years NCD it thankfully came in at just under £500!! Check it first!!

    I must admit, I have to agree with the two above. Early hours of the morning i've notched up some of my quickest ever speeds in the C on the M25 and never picked up a ticket, and I know of at least twenty people who've been done, all at peak times and usually around the M4/Heathrow bit of it where it's variable.

    If I was you i'd get all that crap out of the gap between the wiper motor and heater intake, if you've not already!! Basically, it builds up - blocks the drainage holes and soaks the inside of your car. Well, it did mine...... And i'm sure i've read of a few others!!!!

    Get the Nokia Bluetooth Kit - it simply sticks to the dash and you just whack it to answer/hang up the phone.

    Hi Guys, didn't want to start a new thread but on the subject of suspension.... My rear shocks are gone so looking to replace the whole lot in the near future, unfortunately cash is a bit of a prob so Koni is out of the question at the mo and i'm fed up with looking down at people in X5's so my question is.. has anyone tried these?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Corrado-VR6-fu ... dZViewItem And if so, are they any good.     ']['H3R4POR - it does work. My brother got a tug after about 10 minutes of shenanigans on the M25 near Heathrow last year with two porkies in a subaru. Accused them of entrapment and then asked to see the footage at which point he was politely told not to drive like that again and get on his way. At least they knew they were out of order!!!

    I did exactly the same thing just over a week ago, however my wheel got buckled. It looks like it's a combination of steering rack and hub. Not quite sure how much they're going to cost but you could start by checking them??

    Picked mine up with 136k on the clock (chains and head done at 128k) and it feels as strong as an ox. If i'm honest it seems to get better as the miles go up. I'm now knocking on the door of 155k and as long as the fluids and filters are done, you should be fine.

    I think mine and zippys cars are from the same stock - originally registered in NW London, then moved to SE London, then to Watford and she now lives with me in Luton. All in all about 40 miles - pretty pants really. What was your original mark Zippy??

    Off topic a bit - did VR's ever come with them alloys (the same on a mk3 16v) Mine had them when I got it but i've switched to speedlines thinking they all came with them. I have an early VR with the old style dash

    Ooooh, may well have been. He didn't have the windows tinted when I last saw him but he may have now. He should be here in a few minutes so i'll let you know.
