  1. Nice bit of kit - just saw the eBay site (cjautos2005). Nice find
  2. Just received a confirmation email from RH.de with pic and stating that the 45206 is indeed the actual plastic spigot required for converting from 72.5 to 57.1. Many thanks.
  3. Excellent - many thanks. Looks like its overseas then. I have actually been looking on the ebay.de and also saw gmp on my searches. I suppose my key concern was that you can readily get a centre ring / spigot which changes the bore from 72.5 to 57.1, either as part of the kit or separately Most people seem to list part 45206 (beige plastic) for VW but dont indicate sizes. I am assuming the spigot (either metal or plastic) should be 7.7mm thick and have an ID of 57.1 and an OD of 72.5? I have spoken to RH (which is where I got the part numbers after explaining) but given the language barriers, not sure if the 72.5 to 57.1 was quite understood though.
  4. Does anyone know if there is a UK supplier of the 'special' RH adapters required to fit RH (ZW1) wheels please. Looking at 5 x 100 to 5 x 112. Looking at RH part #64040 (20mm) with appropriate spigots to change CB from 57.1 to 72.5. Alternativley can anyone recommend a good German retail supplier that may be able to source some. Thanks
  5. Just take out the grill and a headlight and you'll see the extent of that part. Part # 535 805 591 C (VR6) A (4 cyl)
  6. This may be along shot for you but may be worth trying. Had an intermittent fault with starting (95 VR6). Car would fire up but die instantly, almost as if the fuel was being cut off (eg immobiliser style). After trying a number of things, inc changing battery - (MFA occassionally rest back to zero), OBD (2) indicated engine being blocked by immobiliser. After searching the forum for a host of similar probs, found a post that recommended spraying WD40 (or in my case electrical cleaner fluid) on the 3 pin connection plug which leads from the steering column coil (around the ignition barrel) to the immobiliser box under the dash (below headlight switch area). After spraying and reconnecting, worked instantly. Whether it was a coincidence or simply a great find and post, will find out over the coming days, as it was only completed this afternoon. Recall that this was a known fault for Cs dating Oct'94 to June '95 plus all key immobilised VWs, 95-97 though.
  7. Try the wiki re buying tips etc......http://wiki.the-corrado.net/the_corrado_buying_guide_checklist.html Good luck in youir search.
  8. Very nice work indeed. Still planning on making additional sets? Very interested if so.
  9. Conolly Leather upholstery (incl leather covered st wheel, gear knob, and gaiter) was an option for the 8V / 16 V at £1528 and Conolly Leather upholstery for the VR6 at £1273. The Storm had 'leather' as standard equipment (not indicated as Conolly though according to the 1995 spec sheet). ---------- Post added at 01:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:54 AM ---------- More info here..http://www.vwcorrado.de/pop/leder_und_connolly.htm
  10. Cowboys & Aliens - expected more from a film with Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig, good FX, good aliens, started good with promise (in the guise of a good western) but kinda lost its way towards the end IMO, but maybe I'm being too critical. 6/10 Now Rise of the Planet of the Apes, a very good 8+/10. Top film
  11. This should help.....See the links in the thread http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?53408-The-quot-Will-these-wheels-and-tyres-fit-quot-thread
  12. Been using it for a while as an iPhone app - it's certainly a great source of info!
  13. Hi Tom, many thanks. Just got in from finishing up the spoiler assembly and drive testing. I managed to pick up a motor from the breakers here in Nottm (in fact choice of two complete workings). All working as smooth as butter. Good in a sense to know its a fairly common issue. Thanks again for the offer much appreciated. I will now source a couple of carbon brushes and keep my other motor as a back up.
  14. Well, after cleaning, regreasing and sorting out the rear spoiler mechanism, unfortunately was a little heavy handed with the reassembly of the actual motor and managed to break both carbon brushes. The motor was originally fine, but suffering from the common, incremental staged spoiler rise syndrome, and full of debris. It also looked like a bit of heat build up on the negative terminal, judging by the blackening/deposit on the connector. Issue was: A click (relay type) sound heard from the boot area when pressing the dash spoiler switch. On the click, spoiler motion would stop, then would have to wait for another click before the spoiler would rise a small amount, etc. Took about 4-5 clicks to full raise or lower. Of course the motor is now dead. From reading other threads seems to be the thermal overload kicking in - I'm assuming thats the green component. Looking for, ideally, a good working motor at the right price (sorry if this is not strictly in the wanted section), or advice on where to obtain the correct brushes, or whether a larger brush could be easily modified to work. Willing to pick up in midlands. Any advice appreciated from anyone who's carried out the spoiler refurb or can advise on the diy brush situation etc. Many thanks.
  15. The original number plate light area can be terrible for rust if ignored. Outstanding job -Love the detail round the screw holes.
  16. Interior door upper trims, left and right please - that sit on top of door card (with tiny curved cut out for door pin, original was self-adhesive) - that usually get cracked, particularly in leather interior cars -think the part no. is 535 868 504 / 503
  17. Looks good - how much also for the additional CF/Kevlar cover shown in the lower 3 pics? Very nice piece

    Help!!!

Had mine changed by so called pros - also took them 3 attempts to get it right. On removing the screen (which had obviously been changed before), a lot of rust one found side. I repaired the rebate, primed and painted it, as they quite rightly would not put in a new screen with the meatlwork in that condition. Mobile fitters - first they cracked the screen while installing it, so had to remove it with their cheeswire and scraped the new paint job while doing so. Second attempt they it cracked straight down the middle just on completion. Third time I insisted on a particular chap who had past experience on Cs at another branch. Eventually a good job. They also cracked the plastic bottom cover which they had to replace.
  19. Excellent stuff! Please check out the build quality and let us know if you get a chance to view them.

  21. They seem to be listed in almost all places stocking the vintage as available in a 5 stud corrado (?)
  22. That's very good to hear, thanks. Really do want originals. As copies/ fakes, the detailing looks pretty good-but is the quality up to scratch - longevity is the key. Either way they will be maintained thoroughly. Not good-especially given how much more expensive the lensos are over the calibre make. Wonder how the calibre will hold up by comparison? Thanks Im sure you all will have noted- but the centre pic is the orig RS, left is lenso, right is calibre.
  23. Before I rush and try to satisfy my desire for BBS RS's - any thoughts.... Ideally want some 'good as can be' original BBS RS 7.5 x 17 5/100 ET33 for my VR6. Rare, maybe - and searching can only find a few replicas. They look decent but can anyone shed any more info on these please. Anyone seen these in the flesh? Prices don't seem to be too bad but what do you think. Not sure about reps but if something isn't available at the right price (and may need refurbing as well) what d'you do. Opinions appreciated. Thanks
  24. Thank you - will have a look at w/e. Will check, the siren itself looks pretty robust to say the least. Hopefully the backup battery can 'easily' be accessed. Thanks again.
