When I needed a replacement many years ago found this in my toolbox and have been using them ever since. Gives a good secure and tight fit, used with a black cover cap to finish off. Use an appropriate diameter with no screw of course, and with the tip cut off (faded are in pic) so its short and stubby. Plastic ones of course. Crude but works well, JM2P

Yep, similar to the iOBD2 I saw recently. OBD1 would be good though.

.......also not sure why the ad states 80k mileage and the dash clearly displays 135,404 - seems the art of accurate advertsing is dead.

OK - sad geeza here who keeps a detailed record of any Storms I see. Just for info - this particular one was actually up for sale on last year on 25/04/12. Little confused however as the details do not seem to correspond with what I noted last time off ebay - Reg same as M866 DAP, BUT first reg date as 02/02/1995, not 26/4/95 stated now. Also Previous owners was stated as 7! not 3 as listed here. Incidentally at that time Mileage - 136290, Cost £2495. It may be that the details were wrongly stated on ebay last time (Storm from April ? 1995 onwards) - so just a heads up. Looks like paper work is all there so worth checking.

Paul, just stick in "00276 abs outlet valve rear left n136" in google and it'll lead you to several VW forums with possible solutions re the above code, including CF - potential ABS pump, ECU etc.

As Wazza says, what is the span? No doubt you are referring to timber beams, given your joist hanger reference. If designed correctly there should be no noticeable bounce on the suspeneded floor, afterall most first floors are timber/ suspended in nature, (edit - and dont show excessive bounce). There will of course be an acceptable tolerance for movement, but yours sounds very much in excess. Was the builder competent enough to handle the design?

Ok another one here in me garage :)

Off Topic, but I must have missed that thread - hilarious..thanks lol

Where are you intending on lubricating? If you are referring to the two main black sleeves and sliding supporting arms, then these do not need lubricating (and if anything other than a dry lubricant, will attract unwanted dirt etc - best to avoid). The spoiler tubes and cables within - a liberal spray of white lithium grease or similar will be fine. As far as 'proper', not sure there is a particular one - many choices.

If I had the spare cash, 993 - certainly. Out of interest what 993 budget range are you looking at?
-
Got mine from ebay.de, RH. Also see here...http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?57808-RH-Adapters-for-RH-Wheels

Remember this is the special order Storm, so it will have differences :)

Have you removed your motor, or is it still intact with the rest of the spoiler mechanism. There should be another spade to connect the wire to similar to the black. Which red are you referring to in the pic?
