Hi there Does anyone know if the BK299s can be refurbed cost effectively? Mine are a bit scuffed. Some guy told me the split rim effect studs are made of plastic... :!: :?: so makes the refurb impossible and the mirror effect edge would be painted over too... :cry: Any help would be fantastic otherwise im gonna have to save up for new rims... :drinking:

Ladies and gentlemen..... The bitch is back!!!! I got it all sorted today, MOT brakes the lot... Jesus christ I forgot how quality they handle and that button on the right makes me burst in hysterics everytime I stamp it lol Its a big day for me sob weep. :cry:

I concur with that point, I myself got mine in full working order from a garage 6 years ago, these things im doing now mostly myself and other bits. can talk you through the CV joint gators are peice of cake when you know how... did mine in an hour :lol:

Gentlemen, im thinking bout this leather trim business myself, mines in the same green paintwork and similar alloys IHIG60 your car is PHAT have you got any more pictures I can get ideas from myself? Am in process of a rebuild :doc: Oh and how much does leather trimming cost? Cheers

Hi guys I owe you an update on things.... I had the engined tuned and it runs sweet as a nut, its still bit tight and new though. MOT was supposed to be tomorrow but im waiting on parts to arrive as im doing the disk and pads all round. Just as well as the national MOT system went down today anyway lol not the first time i may add!! :roll:

As your probably aware im currently rebuilding my G60, one of the jobs im doing this week is the disk and pads all round, I found AVS http://www.vwspares.co.uk fantastic for genuine parts and cheap too. I got both the front and rear standard disk, pads and handbrake cables all for 150quid including delivery just waiting to get them now... :roll:

The cars all ready for the MOT... just been getting work done on it, tuesday goes in for the tuneup then the MOT... Ill let you know how it all goes! :D

Hi there, Just a quick one, but Ive tried these Xenon superwhite bulbs on my G60 to fix the dim headlights, seem to be bit brighter, i got them for £9.74 including p&p off ebay. Has anyone used others with great effect? Cheers :colours:

By the way, if you want to know how much this has cost me so far... head rework & gaskets 255 PAS pump brackets 25 engine oil, filter, plugs & coolant 50 friends labour so far... 400 tyres 4 x 17inch 214 charger oil hose 25 pulley 25 Door lock kit 30 gear oil 30 head bolts, exhaust bolts etc 35 GRAND TOTAL £1089.... :drinking: Bear in mind that ive still got the MOT to come then the paint respray and alloy refurb.... :shocked!: Should look great when all sorted though!!

Well last wednesday morning at 2.30am me my friend and my bleeding hands nervous with anticipitation cranked it to start for the first time in a year... Started first time of course :D Damn near killed me doing it but was worth the wait to hear the throaty roar again! :lol: Some pix for your intrest. The camera makes the cover look pink for some reason though sorry :oops: Just got the few niggles befor the MOT to sort out them its the fun bit! Cheers

Hi guys, After much investigative research and deliberation I stuck MT90 in the gearbox, so when the cars going again it will be intresting to see what it drives like... The old oil looked fine after 15years of thrashing and crunching lol no teeth or nothing in the drain bucket so im yet to see... Has anyone been happy with it?
