  1. yep, thats the fella ... it`s pretty important it`s set to the correct tightness to keep the correct preload, overtighten it and the bearings will eventually die an early death ..... the more i think about your concern over the rubbing noise the more i reckon it`s the caliper needing attention
  2. sounds like a caliper may be starting to partial seize up ? when you did the wheel bearings did you torque up the preload to the correct spec ?
  3. nice one 8) , i havent driven mine for 2 years now but it should be off the jacks this week and heading to a mot station early next week .... looking forward to being back in the saddle, have you any plans to make any mods to your ride dan ?
  4. sounds pretty terminal to me marcus ....... i`ll give you £50 for it as it stands mate and i`m doing you a favour  ............... just keep an eye on it mate, it may well need some attention as murphstaruk, has suggested but it may well pass
  5. .. i`m sure some kind soul will spring to the rescue sooner or later ! pics aside, how are you finding your `new` chariot 8) , have you put many miles on the old girl yet ?
  6. sorry dan, they are so big that they just wont upload correctly .. i`m not too hot on re sizing and all that so i`m happy to pass on to someone else to try and resize ..... nice corrado by the way !!
  7. The voltage is easy enough to check with a voltmeter. If the voltage is between 13.5 and 14.5, it's a good bet the alternator is good. To check the amperage output you will need to `load ` the battery using a drop tester to short the battery and see how quickly it discharges .... if it discharges pretty quickly then it`s a fair bet that the battery is on it`s way :thumbleft:
  8. ....... give it a week and they`ll be on offer, eh mate
  9. do you reckon ?? ...... i wonder if anyone would be kind enough to do a chop ?

  14. ziderapple, if you have have lowered suspension then you may well have shorter shocks ( might not ) , fitting std springs to shortened shocks may well be an arseache to do and you will have suspension as hard as a skinheads boot , the eibachs might be a bit too low if you are hauling contraband back from abroad but the std springs i have are in good nick, i can mix n match so you can have a std set of springs n shocks, should sort you out if you are in need. :thumbleft:
  15. ....it`s mine i tell yer ..... :2gunfire:
  16. ........... i have a set of standard springs and a set of eibachs already fitted to some reasonable shockers, might save all the malarky of compressing the springs etc ( not super low ) and you are welcome to either set fella :thumbleft:
