I think my old Corrados rad was the same thickness.. I personally wouldn't put as much coolant in as a 50/50 mix, the coolant doesn't cool a effectively as water.. We aren't subject to mega harsh winters here either.

All the engine mount bolts are available from VW..

Im after some clues on how the rear window comes out, is it easy, will the rubber survive or does it need replaced? Is this a job for a specialist, has anyone changed their rear window and does anyone know if they are available from a glass specialist or is second hand the way ahead...

Ill have a horn cap please... -
I think so mate. maybe a 15 on the rear.. My drive is lightly downslope so that may have given the impression of it being too low.Ill see how it turns out and adjust if necessary...

I didn't even think to ask but not to worry, i have what i need.. Thanks for the offer though..

At this point id like to thank Mr Lobitos who has done me a very good deal on a set of new tyres and put up with me asking a stupid amount of questions.. Tyres are being sent directly to the polisher and wheels are all piled up now ready to go. So the car stands on one Mo5, 2 jacks and a scrapyard 14" steelie.. I was asked why i didn't just use the spare, i don't think its touched the ground in the best part of 20 years so best to keep it that way..

I was joking fellas, i appreciate honest feedback and it is interesting to know the difference in opinion of the two style of wheel.
-
No need to apologise gents… I genuinely do appreciate the feedback on the car, even though none of you like the new wheels...
-
Hope you manage to get it sorted soon.. Far too good to move it on...

Gear linkages are straight forward, watch that plastic bracket thing, when i loosened one of the nuts it just let go.. Ive got the part number on standby if required.. Thos fuel lines are awful, i changed the lines a while ago and the language was colourful when tackling those clips..

I would have liked them subject to who made them however i believe rules say first to say the magic words...
