Wow.. Brake cleaner.... That's nasty stuff. Not sure I'd use it on my paint work. Brakes only...
-
Blanket to cover engine bay... Garden sprayer full of white spirit. Leave on for about 5 - 10 mins, scrap with old barclaycard or similar... Messy job. Then polish. Don't water the plants with white spirit after.
-
Not just me then....
-
Cheaps not best, unless you want to do the job twice... Go for a branded component the best you can afford.

As long as you've got new clips for the rear door cards it should be easy.
-
Really... So what's the secret to getting the front door card on.. I can never get the door pin through the door card hole while locating the top trim. Last time I was fishing the pin through with a piece of string. :)

Look good... Where they cloth before ? My front seats have an extra line in where you park your bum. Very impressive.

Years ago, used to follow the rally round Wales. Took the old 16v corrado a few times in the Welsh forests with mates, we slept in the recaros a few nights. Then I learnt my lesson it was better of hiring a car and trashing that.

Sooooper comfy, I had a set in ultra violet. Even slept a few night in them reclined when I was young.

Oooo nasty... but can be sorted.... I always look on the bright side with bent motor cars.... its only a piece of metal and metal can be fixed. humans cant.

Front there is a difference in thickness dependant on vented or solid... Rears should be a standard thickness.. But you can get a variation in thickness on pads.. 15mm and 17mm ring a bell... As long as you have the correct parts for the mark 4 set up their is no problem.

Grrr just noticed I've got a vibrating exhaust.. Must of put it back wrong.. Vibrates / rattles when in gear... Sounds like it's blowing somewhere too... It a new exhaust so not rust.. I guess from a sleeve. The annoying thing is, it's something I can sort but, don't want too as I have a reoccurring dislocated shoulder that keeps popping out. Must get it operated on sometime... Don't want to get stuck under the car. Might have too talk nicely to my dad or a mate to sort...

Does she fit in the recaros.

Sounds about right Sean... Stainless option would be better though, mine were rusty when I took the standard VW out.
