It's amazing what you can do with a needle and thread... Well I wasted 4 hours of my life.. Temp fix until I can find a new one.

Must be a market for a Chinese copy of the guages
-
I bought my guages a few years back for about 170... But bought a sender recently from heritage.. I asked about the current price and it's been set by classic part... And yes only two sets were available at the time. They will sell at that price or as they are so rare being the only set will increase in price. I guess 360 isn't the actual price a 10% discount should be available to take in eBay selling fees. Doing it direct from heritage.

Someone was mad enough to buy at that price.

Only one set left.... When their gone their gone...... Don't miss out. And 8 people watching... 7 people are going to miss out 😀

Hope you get it sorted. Loving your corrado project. Old School oz Polaris ?

Couple of bags of sand will sort the ride height.

Linky doesn't work for me... It's the foam insulation cover which covers five sides of the battery... My battery measures 240x175x175mm approx been looking at other car manufactures but battery sizes vary.
-
Not a great idea to put my old battery cover in the washing machine on a 40 degree wash... It's fallen apart.. Any idea where you would get a new one from or. Decent secondhand one... Maybe a new one off a different car fits ?

My car with standard ride height and speedlines with 205 50 15 with full tread... Top of Rear arch to top of tyre tread 85mm approx Top of Front arch to top of tyre tread 65mm approx

Agree with Jim... Check out my cars ride height. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?80990-Delfinis38-Vr6&highlight=Delfinis38 First set of pictures on first page can get a measuring stick out to measure arch to tyre if you like.

As rob said... I bought from eBay. -
new battery fitted this morning, I also put waxoyl on the battery tray for a bit of protection. really need a proper battery clamp. when the guy fitted the airco years ago he lost it and replaced with some washers, last time I fitted a battery I bent a piece of metal up to hold the battery... its not ideal but works. fitted one of Matt's after market headlight switch's not a fan of the red illumination that is always on. might put my old switch back, only changed it as its got a scratch on it. bit of a polish if I get time later.

Oh yes be rude not to especially as stonor it's only a few miles from me. -
Sorry folks just been having a search for something, and this post came up... Just been having a chuckle about Wayne. Wonder what he's driving these days.
-
If you read all the stuff in the search on guages your find the part numbers.. You need 1J0 972 704 which is the black plug @ £4.28 000 979 133 E which is the wire set... I ordered 4 wires but you can get away with 2 as they have plugs both ends and you can chop them in half. They are 3 quid each.. To be honest you could just buy the wire and terminals for the plug off eBay and make them up yourself. Would be cheaper. Or I've been told it's the same plug as a mk3 golf sunroof motor... Hope that helps

Yes... Worth the hassle 😄

What a PITA getting the new sender in... I have airco pipes in the way so makes it a bit more complex and the new sender has a tapered thread. After a few hours and a few chopped spanners, and a rather grazed arm where I've been putting it through the headlight and down by the alternator it's all connected up and working... Yippeeee.

cheers... hopefully I will have a few hours tomorrow to finish it.
