Any how, I've writtn up some stuff on the corrado and thought I would put it up on here so you lot can read through them and tell me what I've missed and maybe put it in the knowledge base. I got 6A block but it has this stamped on the block. I can remeber reading about the exhaust cams on the late 6a being from the abk block or something? can i still put a KR inlet cam in the 6a head? if this is true?

Sorry to bring this back up. I have sourced a audi 80 with what I think is a 6A engine so the sticker in the boot says. But the only thing that make me doubt the sticker is the starter motor is on the block not on the gearbox. its a an audi 80 K reg . where is the engine code stamped on he engine? If this is correct All I need to do is swap from my KR engine to the 6a engine things like flywheel, clutch, pulleys ans oil pick up pipe and sump pan. I have used the search and im just making sure Ive got the right engine. Thanks Vaughn

I don't like doing this but I'm getting really anoyed at Peter Munns. I sent him loads of pm's which he has not read or replied to, he's cashed the cheque for £20 I sent him for a Front Grill over a month ago. This has gone on for 2 months now. I wonder if I'll see the £20 or the front gill ?...... I got the Grill from Peter on Saturday. Thanks Peter

WOW ok I'm impressed did you have to do any thing to the fuse box for the ignition ? or any thing to the existing wiring? Don't know if your know this but as Mine is the KR block Will mine have the plug for the knock senser?

Got a question that I can't find an answer to in the search. My 1.8 kr fuel management is mechical, I would like to put a turbo on it. I was wondering would it be possble to fit a EFI now on the standard engine and have it tuned to work? I was thinking of just getting the g60 loom and wiring or would another fuel maganement be better? Could any one recommend where this could be done? Thanks Vaughn

Yes your need to remove the shock and spring and wheel. Your need to compress the spring with spring compressors so that you can under the top nut. then undo the bottom strut nut and then you can remove the strut and spring. HTH

That looks alittle like what mine was like but no way near as bad. My top plates didn't exist luckly no other damage was done. The body round where the strut sits in is quite strong( I'm by no means saying its would not bend or buckle) but you should be able to remove and replace with not to much worry.

Well just bougt loads of stuff from Besian and I'm really happy with him. He was quick and helpfull on the phone. All the parcels arrived to me in exellent condition.

just been though the search and I would just like to check to make sure that i understand. All I need to convert my standard 16v front brakes to g60 are the following parts:- g60 calipers (280mm) g60 disks g60 brake hoses G60 pads do I need to change anything else? Thanks vaughn

Right So I need the following to turbo my KR S2 pistons to change compression to 8:5:1 Sirrocco manifold (inlet) G60 management custom exhaust system Turbo maf and knock senser? and a stack of Cash Any thing else? Is the KR fuel pump ok to use? or would i need the g60 fuel pump?

this thread and many other threads I have read over the last few days have been great for info. I would like to know ( as i havent found yet a list of parts I would need) what parts I would need to take my 1.8 16v engine out of my C and fit a G60 engine but remove the charger and fit a turbo? If any one good help or point me to a thread with the info I need. Thanks Vaughn

I very happy with ChubbyBrown as I bought a Sunroof motorfrom him. He was quick with replying and the motor come nicly wraped up.

After finding the wiring layout on the forum.it looks like the orignal stereo loom is there but one thing is that the wires I have match the wires I should have for the speaker but not for the power cables. I have a red/WHITE, Brown, blue and a grey and blue cable for the power side of the loom can any one tell me what the blue and gray/blue wire do?

Well My Mat ehas bought corrado and we have started to take out the interier to trace the stereo wires. but what i have found is a nightmare. looks like someone has bged astereo in and hasnt dona good job so i have removed as much of it as i can . but i have found that the main starting cables that go to the the starter switch have been cut and had a tail been put on and i can not find the oringnal iso plug or wireing for it. So I ask did the the early corrado not come withe loom for the stereo ? If it did or didn't any ideas where i could start as my mate wants a stereo in his car. Thanks Vaughn

after some more searching the web this idea seems to have mixed thoughts about the benifets to a cast iron manifold. and also that the chances that the cast iron manifold would crack increases. Any one else get some info or idea/opinion?

Hello I've gone through the search and have found lots of intresting bits of info but I haven't found yet any thing about what the OEM manifold is made from. As I was thinking of heat wraping it so to keep the gases hotter for longer. But only if this would help the performance. Thanks Vaughn

My Valver had the exact problem and yes her arse was sitting on the floor which in turn made her nose stick up. Handling was... well lets say intresting.

Arh so by the looks of it then they are gena rub on the inside. Is the measurement done in MM e.g 35mm and 45mm?

I've been offered a set of 195/55/R15 but they have an offset of 45. I know the standard offset for 15 is 35. so would et45 be positive offset which would make the wheels closer to the arches? My car is lowered 40mm and is 16v Plus are the golfs gti 8v have the same PCD ? Thanks Vaughn

Well got a friend to spray my bumper on my car a few months a go but now the paint has gone like wrinkle old skin. Can any one tell why this is as I wuold like to respray the bumper again but I don't want this to happen again. Thank Vaughn

there Masitaly 17" 205/40/17. I think they suit the C but they rub on full lock. I would also like to have a better exhaust system. after reading though the exaust discussion post I dont know which one to choose.
