You can buy a kit to refirb the caliper but it sounds like yours might be getting seized up so you might need a new one or a upgrade, mk3 or mk4 golf are good

I do trust the guys working on the car, they keep telling me theyve work on golfs for years etc. But they are sure they metering unit needs swapping even after giving them one from my other valver. I need to go check they fitted right I think lol ALso Mr Wort, i will test the TPS once I get the car back, it had very eratic low revs, now where near as smooth as it could be

Its a bit of a job to fix one apparently, I dont know how much a new one is, a lot id imagine.

might do till the car reaches proper operating temps? My was giving poor mpg before it broke down on the side of the road. It wont start now, garage want me to get another metering head for it

sorry man I just found out yesterday from the garage that the metering head I took off my other valver is no good to, I was hoping they would use my spare one to get it through the MOT, My car will have been at that garage 3 weeks this thursday:mad2: sorry for leaving you hanging Hi Chris If that as soon as you can get it thats cool, but sooner would be better obviously :) Can you pm the payment details, can you do it for £65 plus P&P to ;) thanks:afro:
