Finally got some more work done on the car at the weekend, but hit a problem. One of the cam cap studs has stretched, would anyone know where to get replacements or have a scrap cylinder head they could wind a couple out of and sell to me?

Question - does anyone know if there is tin work between the engine and the gearbox on a VR? - I cant find mine anywhere if it was there, and I cant seem to see any note of it in the Bentley manual? I've been watching the Humble Mechanic on YouTube and his VR5 has a metal plate between the box and the engine....

Yeah I was happy to pay, but the site I think has been put out to pasture now as things are not really fixed anymore.... I guess the likes of Facebook etc takes over

i4 BMW - problem was the town we were staying near to only had 7kw chargers - motorway (Gridserve) was a good 45-50min drive

Yep my EV was a pain when I went off the beaten track in Somerset... slow chargers etc..

Welcome! - I still call in now and then, still working on my Corrado, yep I have an EV as well..... a nice bit of engineering, I'll have the Corrado for fossil consumption!

Yeah I get that, but surely if full admin rights were spread across others then bits could be fixed and people would be more inclined to sign up. It appears to get a large amount of guests if the 'Online Users' is accurate? -

Sorted the gearbox! the company that I sent it to 6 years ago has found the internals and going to rebuild it for us and bead blast it, just need a flywheel now.... anyone running a lightened one on a VR6?

Not been as easy as I thought... did buy both from Fuzzer but 7 years later the flywheel is missing and the gearbox got stripped and not put back together... so its my own fault. Did try the corrado graveyard, but the fella seems pretty unreliable, says hes open then doesnt turn up etc.. did try Chris again but he doesnt have one.. none locally on ebay either.

Just wondering if anyone has a gearbox for a VR, need a flywheel too if that's also available. I've also got the 312mm brakes and the calipers MK3 VR (ATE 54) need new pistons, anyone know the part number or has done this? Realise I need to join up for 'Wanted' stuff and I will if the site just gets a little bit of attention.

Well the Corrado will suffer from fading that goes without saying... there is very few of them left, doesnt mean the site has to.
