Hi guys I am kind of keen to replace my engine mounts and wondering if it is worth some performance ones?? Do vibratechnics mounts fit on the C (2.0l 16v M-reg) and how much and where from?? Plus is it a difficult job to fit them myself?? i.e can I screw anything up or can anyone provide a nice guide :-) thanks in advance, Olly :)

Where has the webby gone?? and can you still join?? thanks, Olly

Got one from wankfords this morning and fitted it semi-no probs. It leaked when I used the washers that came with it. On inspection the washers from the old one where a much better fit - so I stuck the old washers back on and hey presto all good. The car defo seems to feel a bit better to, tiny bit more resposive (may be), but definetly smoother.

Quick Q stevemac - where did u get that diagram from?? and does a haynes manual exist for the C (i've had a quick look in Wankfords but couldn't find one)

Cheers guys tis mucho appreciated. Will let u know how I get on some time in the week provided I don't convert myself into Jonny Flame. Got my uncles golf disel to cart around in atleast if it all goes wrong or the fuel lines had it. Makes me appreciate the CC sooo much more 8)

Hi guys, I am noob when it comes to things really, but v. keen to learn etc etc :-) it's one of the many reasons I went my Corrado :-) Any chance a nice kind sould could post some form of guide to cleaning the throttle body?? I can supply engine bay pics for diagrams and stuff if it helps :-) I ideally would like to learn and at the same time not break anything  8) :D

  any ideas guys was painful this morning :-( I had to start it with my foot on the gas or it stalled - a minute later tho and it was fine?? (rainy this morning)

The carbon canister vacum hose is full intact by the look of it - any chance it could be any of the valves or the controller?? But the other vacum hose on the diagram - doesn't appear to have a valve on it!!! see bellow - prolly just me being an idiot :-) but....

I have read all the posts on here about idleing, I've removed and cleaned my ISV and the engine is idleling smoother. My problem is - some times when I have left the car for a day or 2 and it has been colder or rained, I'll start the car and the instant I touch the gas pedal it will start to go erractic and try and stall. If I give it more gas it will rev and then it will drop off with my foot still hard on the pedal. This last for about 1-2 mins on average and then it is 100% fine again. It sounds from the other posts like it could be the a prob with a vacuum hose somewhere BUT I can't see anything wrong at all. What other signs would their be and where do I need to look specifically?? As as side note it is still on it's original fuel pump and filter could these be contributing factors?? After 2mins and when ever it hasn't been left that long the car really is as sweet as a nutt. Stumped tbh???? any ideas??????

I've got a very similar problem - when cold and wet on a slope it just doesn't want to know until I rev it for a while?? Could it be the pump??

My Doors auto lock and I have full closure, the interior light is in sync to. The dual proximity can be added at any time as can a million other mods.

All in good time I feel :-), I quite like the remote starting idea. But so far this month I have purchased the car, the car alarm, the insurance and 2 tanks of petrol so far... Add to that I need a new stereo, cause I am leaving all my Alpine stuff for my parents and u end up with a very broke Olly   8)

I used GAP in the end - Clifford concept 300 £400 inc fitting in the work car park. http://www.online-car-security.co.uk/ (GAP Security) £25 additional pounds to remove my old alarm which I wasn't expecting and possibly the shiftiest looking bloke ever!!! But we shall c.... (if u'll pardon the pun)

it's a stock 2l 16v at the mo, with sony face off cd. Full Karhman interior, and ss back box. It's done 115,000 miles and has had 3 owners from new. I bought it off one of my dad's friends who bought it off his friend a main dealer VW service manager :-). The service manager bought it from the original owner in 1999, after she had neglected to have the cam belt replaced and it snapped. He then rebuilt the entire engine and did the car up for his wife, who then had a baby in 2000 and he was force to sell it to his friend and my dad's friend - who I bought it off :-). It has a full VW service history up to 2000 (about 100,000 miles), and then off the record on the QT the guy did all the work on the engine actually in the dealership himself. Have spoken to him on the phone and the friend of my Dad's is 110% trust worthy - they have know each other for the best part of 35 years!! I even have the original owners reciept from buying the car - all her finance details and her certificate to prove she cleared the finance. Also got every bill for it, all it's mot certificates, complete v5 history of owners a new cat and new battery. No service book tho - just a print out from the local VW dealership computer of it's complete service history with about 3 dealers in it's life so atleast the car is even in their records! totally chuffed 8) :D

M-Reg 2l 16v - got it Sunday, clifford 300 going in on Thursday. I've wanted a corrado for AGES, but being only 21 it's been a tough ordeal to get! Totally chuffed 8) :D

A couple of sites have the 2l 16v down as 8.5 -> 60 is that about right?? Parkers has it at 9.3 and my friends newish 318 coupe as 9.2 and his car gets owned by the Corrado and in all honesty he is prolly the better driver. thanks in advance, Olly

Hi guys, as u may or may not know I got my first corrado sunday :-), will put pics up when I take em tomozs. Got a small prob, I can only direct air to my feet or windscreen - the dial will turn round but it needs to be forced and in doing so it makes a crack and then still blows to my feet. Presumably some form of linkage has gone. Any ideas on how to fix it?? Presuming again I'll have to take the whole dash off and have a look, I did try having a look at the dials to see if they had swapped over but this didn't seem to be the problem. any ideas/fixes???
-
Ordered the CC 300 from GAP, haggled them down £25 to £400 so relativly happy. They are coming out next week to fix it at my work. Cheers for ur help guys - expect pictures in the gallery of my first Corrado soon :-) (touch wood) - will prolly get the digi cam out tomozs.

Where is the best place (price wise and fitting) to get a cat 1 alarm and imobo?? Ideally I need a national place to come out to my work and install it - but can drop in anywhere around Portmouth. Any ideas guys (got my 2l 16v btw will post pics when I take some tomorrow or tonight, just need to sort the stereo and the alarm out)

Kewl, thank u.

Do Corrados (specifically a 95 M-reg 2l 16v) come with Din plugs or will I need an adapter to run my stereo??
