As topic sorry guys, I have bled the brakes on my old Polo once before by losening the screws on the calipers(1 at a time) and then pumping the pedal, but I have no Idea how to bleed my Cs clutch system??
-
Yeah it's suddenly got a lot worse over the last 24 hours. It's booked in for a full service and fluid change a week monday... But I need to get it to and fro work tomorrow and next week. Hoping with new GB oil and new mt90 brake fluid (+ new slave) it will all be sorted. Cheers for ur help guys, if anyone can think of anything else to try please let me know! (the brake fluid level seems to be ok and I recont he squeaking is coming from the slave cylinder so it may well be leaking internally!)

It's getting impossible to change gear.... way past stiff. I have a new slave cyliner to go on that I am going to try and fit tomorrow. But it's getting beyond. I've de-gunked it with wd40 and greased the linkage but even that hasn't helped :( It's got really bad over the last 2 days I am having to force the gears which I hate doing, even double clutching doesn't help or reving when down shifting. When the clutch is down there is an odd wearing noise and a sqeauk when it is lifted up, any ideas guys?? Got enough crap going on with work and stuff, don't need the c to break

Nice car dude, driven the new m3 and was staggered by how progressive it is! Irrelevant of gear and revs u put ur foot down -> more noise -> LOADS MORE SPEED!!!!!! -> Change gear and repeat!

As topic :), ordered a slave cylinder and could really do with a hand fitting it :). With pics would be amazing!!!!!!!!!!

So what did you do to your C over the bank holiday??
Brando replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in General Car Chat
Gave it a total clean and treated my rust on the door :/. Salivated at the thought of the brembo group buy too :) -
^ I've got a flat rear bench :/, I'd like a black arm rest and fittings tho :). The funny thing is I didn't even notice it wasn't there when I saw the car. It was only 2-3 days after I got it. I was just chuffed to find a 2l 16v aqua blue with black interior :), still chuffed 9-10 months on so can't complain :)! 8) Edit (who sits in the back anyways, and it provides some room for interesting things) *mod edit - sorted your quote for you - Henny*

Boxster all the way. "Poor mans porsche" people can carry on thinking that tbh :), waste of breath trying to convince them otherwise. Easily the Best car I have ever driven. Not the fastest, but special and stupidly in touch with the road!!! Such a drivers car, so poised and ready. I've only driven the 2.7, which is probably a good thing as I need to save rather than get a loan and the 3.2 would easily push me into the bank managers office. Boxster -> Noble (btw Vr6er hehe) Noble -> gt3/turbo/gt2 -> Vanquish and retirement -> reality bites  my 2p :D

What is the part no for the K&N panel filters as when I tried to get one from Eurocarparts they said there was only one for the vr6 :/. I asked if the VR6 filter would fit my 2l 16v and got the usual heavy breathing followed by and "no". and how much and where did you get yours from m8??

Bee Sting Ripped out :/, anyone fitted a sharkfin
Brando replied to Brando's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Sorry m8, didn't mean to abuse students in general. I was one uptill graduating last year. But there is a halls at the top of the road and they all walk down our road when the clubs kick out pissed. cheers for the info guys, I figured I was going to have to remove the headlining and spend ages fiddling around :/. The base is thankfully still there but the thread looks a tad knackered :/. Just pisses me off as now I have to worry about my car when it's parked right outside of my own home. /me resumes looking for a house to buy with a garage down south. (anyone fancy a bank robbery???) -
Hi all, found my C minus it's ariel this evening some S*1t (prolly a student) has ripped it out :/ Anyone done a shark fin upgrade, or know of the best place to source a shark fin or replacement Bee Sting. This country pisses me off some times, I'm only 22 and it makes me feel old to say it, but where is the respect for other people's property gone?!?

I'm wondering about wrapping it in that tape you can get to temp fix wholes in exhausts. If it comes loose again I may try it, I'll post my results if I do on the forum.
-
Same prob on mine m8, fixed with a jub-lee clip, only it's come loose. So more crawling round under the car for me when the weather gets warmer :).
-
I wired my friends to his glove box light, as it's more convineint to have the glove box open than the hand break on some times :) ** legal disclaimer to follow** etc

I don't really want coil overs, just a 30mm drop with uprated bilstien springs and dampers then stock vw mounts all round(as they seem to have lasted well!!!!)
-
After these posts I kind of get the feeling (pass as to why) I need to lower my C. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7920 http://www.clubgti.com/forum/forum_post ... 12994&PN=1 I posted a while back about the bielstein springs and dampers kit and I know there are millions of posts to search for on coil overs and also kits. But........ could do with having it all in one post :) and would appreciate ur guys inputs as to what I can do. Current thoughts are to go with the kit and lower the C 30mms, with new springs dampers and top mounts, any idea on cost of doing this would be appreciated too! I am also pretty sure my mounts need doing as well, can anyone give me a tediously painful breakdown in what would be involved and what I can do myself and what they would advice a garage to do?? Cheers, Olly :)

Got some new pics this w/e with the new wheels on (OZ Polarises) Just after a jet wash which I tend to not use as it always leaves crap on the car (much prefer 2 hours+ slaving with Zymol). But it was a case of needs must as I drove home from Southampton to Wales on freshly salted roads :/.

Brando replied to Ice White Socks's topic in General Car Chat
My house m8 is selling his Xsara and the first peeps to come around and view it came tonight, Family of three buying it for their son as a first car. My C was parked next to the Xsara and they asked if that's what he'd replace it with and went on to say how nice it looked :) and to ask about it. So he said it was his house mates and he was taking delivery of his mini cooper S on Tuesday :). Totally killed the conversationg :) Touch of Irony as I almost bought a new mini cooper S in october :), SOO glad I didn't! -
hehe, anyone fancy making a guide up for doing it?? cheers for your replies? and what about lowering the back too?
-
Definatly interested in the 4 studs, they should go over my OZ Polarises. Just a question of when for me really, the later the better.

Hi guys, I'm seriously thinking about a 40mm drop again, I rather like the sounds of the bilsteins. Any recomendations for places to to have the kit fitted, I need(!!!!!) to have 4 wheel alignment done at the same time :/ (PVW reconned about £125 all in). I'm willing to travel if it really is worth it :) cheers :D
