I knew it would be tough, but the relentlessness can really get me down. The Boss "I'm going down down down" (Mr. Springsteen = The Boss) I luv driving it and when it feels right its just such a good car!!!  -

Fek forgot the engine mount too! -
Edit: FFS it must be one of those days :/ TOPIC SHOULD READ - "One thing after another" OR Girls and Corrado's don't mix Everyone I ever spoke to when I wanted a Corrado stated a car like that will just have one problem after another. Damn it they are right :/. So far (and I have prolly gotten of lightly compared to some.) New Distributer - £80, new Bosch, Vibratechnics front engine mount - £140 Repaired and painted rear wheel arch (l8 night wall scraping returning from my now Ex-gfs)- £320, also got the wing mirrors and plate bellow the headlights resprayed at the same time. Puncture - £180, 2 new Yoko AVS sports Service - £225, full tune, oil, general clean up and VAG session and now THE curbing incident (see my post in the problems sections to further my humiliation)- On the way to meet a girl damn it!!!! Hopefully this will be resolved in a low cost bar my wheels needing to be refurbed even more. :/ But could cost a lot depending on what the geometry test says this Sat :( Grr getting that cursed feeling :/, yet I still luv my C. Totally irrational Anyone else finding similar things :/?? I guess the only real solution is to not have the Corrado as my daily drive.
-
kewl cheers Steve Mac will try and get it done tomorrow or the w/e.
-
Kewl any ideas of cost, and I did read that bit you quoted :) I just meant if anyone knew of anyone near Salisbury they could recomend that did it.
-
Any suggestions of places that do it and how much??

Not a gr8 night Saturday really, turned in abit to quick and hit a 6inch curb with the front and then the back wheels :(, Nasty chip on the front alloy and scratch on the back :/ BUT...... worse than that the steering wheel was way out of aligment. Took it into my local ATS and once they had finished laughing at me they tracked it for me. It was a couple of degrees out. Took it out and the steering wheel was no where near centre. So took it back in they straightened it up and re-tracked it. Off I went again but this time with one of them in the car. The wheel is still a tiny bit out :(. Only a few degrees and the car drives perfectly straightly even with no hands on the wheel it doesn't pull or change direction at all. I let the ATS manager drive it too and he confirmed the same. His sugestion "if it bothers me, re-align the steering wheel. But the tracking is fine". Could it be anything else?? I didn't hit it that that hard, but it certainly made a nice dent in my alloy :(. ATS also checked everything out for me and gave it an all clear.

Don't do what I did, ask a VW mechanic about how to remove a bonded on one. Then belive him when he says it won't be "vw have never glued them one, just use a screw driver to prise it off" And then go out and buy a new distributor because the plate bent long before the arm moved :(.

2l 16vs are also all face lift models, which made my mind up for me.

I NEED a mk1 in mars red!

Right, I rang Adrain Flux again and asked to speak to a supervisor. I then explained fully my situation and shock at them being able to insure me on my grp 17 Corrado and not on my group 2 clio :/. The result 26.69 for a weeks cover on my Corrado Policy :), so happy now - just need this woman to buy it from work and I am sorted!!!!
-
The docs are under my name I never changed them over to my rents :/. My rents used their own insurance policy which they now have another clio on for my sister to learn to drive on. Adrian flux don't cover me 3rd party which is a shame :/
-
Hi guys I have my Corrado with Adrian flux, and I had leant my parents my clio for a couple of months. They are now done with it and I am trying to sell it. A person in work is very keen to see it, and I presumed I would be able to simply add it to my Corrado Insurance policy. But due to the Clio being worth £5000 and the Corrado £4000 they are unwilling to add it :? So this leaves me stumped any Ideas?? Short of getting a new policy and getting skanked for cancellation fees AND also having to shell out a large amount for it??

Spot on. I used that too, it's excellent. If not, use some washing machine soap powder in hot water....works even better. K I used the auto glym to, with good results :).

Nice looking VR6 m8. I've not seen it about, but my friend has by the sound of it. He drives a V. Poncey new m3 in leguna secca blue (read horriblle bluie green). He practically described me your car 2 nights ago. "Same colour as your, 18s and a totally different de-badged grill with a painted surround"
-
It's not the Corrado m8, thank god its my usless 2 year old clio owned from new. All I can really say about it is "THE FRENCH"!!!! But it got me to my four years no claims and being able to insure my Corrado :) (needs must and all that) oh right, dont blame you,if your trying to sell it i would deffo take the carpets out and dry them proporly,oh and if you knew some one who had one of those vax machines you could suck the water up Would a dyson do it :). In all seriousness its A carpet (singular) so taking it out is a mjor hassle i.e seats first!
-
I want to avoid driving it! 75bhp and the lack of ability to overtake is likely to driive (no pun intended) me insane!!!!!!! Will look into the Water Traps tho they sound good thanks m8. Any other suggestions. Its gonna be a fun few days to work so far with: no carpets, water boxes all over the car, heater on full and me praying the person who wants to buy it doesn't notice :)
-
http://www.brando.barrysworld.net thats my C m8, although I have got 17inch OZ Polarises on it at the mo, where are you based??
-
Is there any substance that absorbs water from a car carpet?? Or in general, like a powder I could put down and then hoover up later. Technically not for my Corrado, but for my clio. But having had 4 out of 4 cars I have owned leak!!!! its probably a matter of time till the Corrado will! thanks, Olly

we know what you drive and what you do!but how old are you??

That's Corrado Soprano u tools ;) -
Cheers for your help guys. That is wicked news g60Jet, I did wonder how the pre-outs would be affected by the amp or not. I do intend to only use all three preouts, but start with the sub and rear speaker ones first. I used bullet crimps with the clio iso, so the leads are all infact bullet crimped already, will just snip the corrado ones crimp and be away :) (if I can be asked to get a sub still not decided, decisions decisions!)
-
Yeah its a 55w hyperamp and it does need the +12vs but what about the negative connection. And sorry for my ignorance but what are wiring blocks, they sound just the ticket??
-
Yeah they are ok but the alpine unit needs to draw directly from the battery to achieve maxium quality! There is a noticable difference! In the clio I had shit speakers so it didn't bother me much, but I want some focals for the front and not yet decided on the back (sub + speakers / 6x9s). I know it needs to be fused near the batter on the positive, just wondering about how to join up all the wires safely.
