i guess some people are a bit too trusting of their mfa, when it says 40mpg or such like! i think you need to take it with a pinch of salt. ifi t says 35mpg then your probably getting more like 31 - 33 mpg. i Wouldn't have a clue what your problem is with the mfa! unless it is taking the actual mpg in stead of average,,,,, where sometimes if your cruising just touching the gas then it will say ridiculous figures!!! it did on my mk4 golf 1.6...

Is that the M1 above? I drive by that quite often...... I've always thought it would be cool to make those chimneys into somekind of modern minimalist warehouse look flats...... Sorry just an idea :cuckoo: Really nice vr, nice mechanic, shame about the weather! :)

tbh i am just seeing if there are any 'cheap' (not that there is anything cheap to do with cars!) mods, i am going to sell the car this time next year to get a rado.... thanks for your ideas though...

gradeAfailure: the turbo kit looks like fun,,,,, but a wee bit out my price range! :(
-
yes it will, but some manufactuers will make it so you can attach it and remove it when mot time comes around..... This must be with a small section of removable pipe i guess! i haven't had one my self :)

the borbet ones for £80 are just bog standard wheels imho, you see them on corsas and fiestes and sh!t all the time. g60 rims look nice though :) anything bbs seems to work a treat on vw's

it's one of those things, for every person who loves em there will be one that doesn't!! I guess what stereo you've got plays a part also,,,,, and what make of itrip, because there are loads of cheap jap sh!te on ebay.
-
SUPERCHARGED: it's really good on my gf's, her's is one for an ipod mini. The best bit is no need for wires . I would recommend it, especially for the money. TRIGGERMYSON : your right that if you turn your stereo right up then it will distort. But you can fiddle with the ipod volume and car volume to get the right balance.
-
did you get an itrip? i got one for the gf and it works a treat,,,,, only £15 off ebay

i'd like to meet up with you guys, my gf live in winchester so i am always up that way,,,, but i don't have a corrado yet! what the hey, let me join in... :)

it just ridiculous.... i can't see why insurance companies aren't under proper regulation for price fixing and generally offering the public a cr@p service. we pay too much to start with (as young drivers), then normally have hefty excess, and have to pay an excess if you crack your windscreen or window...... where exactly do the insurance companies bail you out unless you have a write off....... W@nkers the lot of them. i was going to get a corrado, got an ok quote with sabre, then checked it again about 4 weeks later when i was going to go looking because i sold my car. They said the premium had gone up by £350, i obviously asked why and there answer was 'it is probably becase we were too competitive before' !!!!!!!!! WTF   i know young drivers have the stats against us but we aren't all irresponsible!!!!! god how i hate chavs....
-
drink drive. Not true, most of the young drivers have been brought up in the anti drink drive era so it doesn't even cross (most) of our minds where middle aged drivers drink and driv because it was the norm. generalisation, but you get the point, your only 1 year over that bracket! so you must have suddenly gone from being a 12 to 25 year old idiot to a 26 year old wise man. it doesn't make a difference in my opinion it is completely down to the person when it comes to drink driving, speeding. young drivers don't have as much experience but, we need to learn or be priced off the road....... because olde people make us pay more so they pay less......

how long has it been stood for? If it is years then it could have some issues..... bearing in mind work you will have to do, full service, defo an oil change, rust! make sure there are no rust holes in the exhaust etc. But doesn't sound like a bad price... Good idea from Whitedog about getting a deal for if it fails the mot....
