VR6 Cooling questions (Major Breakthrough - Last Page )
Foggystorm replied to Goldie's topic in Engine Bay
I just had all my coolant pipes replaced by OEM VW ones (going for an OEM engine bay look) and it dropped my temps by approx 6 - 10 degrees, I got charged £280 for all main pipes (not breathers) a new plastic water pump housing and fitting (including topping up with VW coolant) which I though was pretty good vfm (now I just got to sell my red Samco's when they finally arrive) Now after a good hour "ragging" session the temps are between 88 and 92 compared to 98 or so before -
been busy with work, only really a flying stop
-
some ones taken today
-
me looking "warry" first and me looking silly in the second one ;-)
-
The ones that are on the existing clamps are too corroded to see, I just though if someone had fitted samco's already they might know what clips they had to use ;-)
-
had the same with mine, replaced motor and lubed it up and it was fine
-
It is the heater matrix defo, where abouts are you from, cause there is a good VW main service centre round this way that I reacon would do it quite cheap (going by how much they charged for replacing my sunroof motor etc etc), I can give u there number and you can try ringing them for a quote

"look, your on maternity leave and I am still at work, so the least you can do is wash my car........................ dont take it to the jet wash or car wash as that will leave swirls, if you could use Megs clay bar first, then........................................."

I just bought some SAMCO's and have to wait 4 weeks for the delivery, does anyone know the sizes of Mikalor clips that I need to use to keep them on?
