  1. turn them on and try them :-p (bear in mind that mine take about 10 - 15 minutes before you notice they are on, then they get toasty warm quick (but unfortunatley my drive to work is only 5 minutes :-( ))
  2. try and get a new blower on ebay, I picked one up on there for £8
  3. if you dont have any joy at the place in Melksham, there is a good VW service centre in Chippenham that do the work on mine and are very good and reasonably priced (plus all the parts are VW and come with a 12 month guarantee on the parts and labour)
  4. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... t=steering
  5. going the other way, I am 6'7 and can fit in mine fine too :-)
  6. carpet adhesive I would say (thats what I used to attach the fabric to my mdf parcel shelf) I guess it depends what the backing is on the leather (If any). Though tbh if your not sure what to stick it with it might be worth speaking to the proffesionals, as with leather you will need to stretch it right when you attach it to the shel, and if this isnt done right it will look poop
  7. we use the new yellow ones now, but up till 3 months ago we used the fluke 25's, the one u bought is definatley an ex british military one (I bet it even has an NSN (nato stock number) on the back (looks like 5856-99-234-2345) (and it is the one I pasted the link for recommending u buy that you bought :-)) If u need a hand with any function give me a shout. Did it come with instructions? if not I can probably get u a set even if it is a photocopy
  8. mpst people seem to prefer 16" wheels as apparently the ride is better and there is no tram lining, although I have had no problems at all with my 17"'s and much prefer them over 15's and 16's
  9. yup, a lot of people with C's round this way (strange I hardly ever see any though!!!)
  10. Cazza16v, u looking forward to getting smashed by Martin Jol's blue and white army tomorrow?
  11. you can claim the money back if there is a non-payer
  12. ebay, there is a guy from greece selling standard ones or black ones for about £10
  13. took door cards off and it was the relays for my leather heated seats, one of them wasnt seated properly so was making that funny screeching noise
  14. not army green, not army green!!!!!!!!!! aaarrrggghhhh I wear it all day, would be my worst nightmare to have to drive in it too
  15. I have a strange noise coming from the rear passenger side door card!!! it sounds like a distorted speaker or relays clicking. Started on Sunday after washing the car but as far as I can see there is no water leaked in. Without taking the door card off what could it be?
  16. we use flukes in the army too. From experience of using them and looking for one that is multi-functional and easy to use I would go for one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fluke-25-multimet ... dZViewItem
  17. i bought mine on ebay for £8, then replaced the resistor on it before fitting it anyways
  18. the contacts for the switch
  19. are you getting the work done at grant motorsport?
  20. My missus had one for a bit and I was very suprised how much room there was in it. I am 6'7 and found it had much more room in it leg room wise than most cars (including my Corrado and my Passat) just the room in the back was a bit worse ;-) We got a 2nd hand one from the stealer with 6k miles on with every possible optional extra on (Sat Nav, heated leather, Air Con, All black cell and pannels, semi auto gear box, storage cover etc etc etc) We kept it for about 18 months altogether before we started our family. Ours was a RHD UK vehicle and we paid £8k for it, which seems quite a lot but we kept it for 18 months, did 15 - 20k miles in it and sold if for £5500, so depreciation is pretty good and if you work out what u save in petrol, tax, parking etc etc. Main things to look out for are: All electrics work as they can be fiddley to fix Turbo is not dying exhaust for signs of cracking depending on what gear box it is fitted with, with the semi-automatic switchable gearbox (cant remember the name SMART used for it) it is normal for the handbrake to stay on for a while after dis-engaging it. The cars actually feel quite fast acceleration wise and although the limiter is a bit annoying, it is nice to be able to sit on the motorway with your foot flat to the floor and know you arent going to get a ban ;-) It is also worth trying to get one with full service history as cause the engine is so small it is worth people who know about it checking it ;-) (and also SMART servicing is pretty cheap anyways)
  21. depends what year TT they are from, I have Audi TT 6 spoke 17's on mine and they have a PCD of 100. The newer TT's have a PCD of 112 and these wheels will not fit on a 'rado
