Hi, I have found an answer to this but not as detailed as I hoped. I need to replace my nearside mirror which was vandalised. Does anyone have a diagram of how to do it or provide a detailed description of what to do. Any help greatly appreciated :D Stefan

Even better when you have a 42 inch TV to watch it on at work after pressing the red button... -

I opted for the top of the range Cobra that he fits (Cobra 4138 Compact Category 1 Alarm / Immobiliser). Never had a problem with it since fitting almost two years ago.

Hello, The interior light does not come on when one or both doors are opened on my girlfriends VR. It will work when manually switched on, but when set to come on when the doors are opened it will not illuminate. Any help appreciated... Stefan

I managed to get Andy to come to Heathrow a couple of years ago as he was doing two jobs on my car. He will probably ask you to meet him somewhere like a motorway services if you can't get down to him. I'm going to ask him to do the alarm on my gf's VR in March as he did a top job on the valver.

I having some work done to the car which will involve removing the headlining so I thought I may as well replace the entire ariel as the reception is poor. I know I can buy the unit from VW but I have been told the connectors will be different to the cable in my valver. Can anyone confirm? Thanks Stefan

Thanks Kip, I was hoping to spend money on things I WANTED doing and not what I have HAD to do due to a bunch of idiots. How did the fire start? Is it seriously damaged?

Another one who should have done this a while ago. A big thanks to Jonathan (JMC) for the LED switches and heater control panel. Great communication and very helpful tips on 'how to'. Stefan -
Took the car to a bodyshop recommended by JMR. The bonnet is way beyond repair so a replacement is required. The roof is seriously f*cked, worse than originally thought but can be repaired... I've booked it in for early Feb (just the roof) as I can't afford to get everything done at once. I'll had to live with the bonnet for a little longer. :(
