Credit card or credit to hard work?
the delta force replied to boost monkey's topic in General Car Chat
Bought the car four years ago using a credit card as I was too impatient. Now I have to save a bit each month to spend on the car. I've had a lot on unexpected bills on the car, namely the front subframe splitting. Got myself a second job which has helped.... -
The BBS are much better, would get more photos up but the car has a flat battery now and is in a garage.

Received mine y'day, will have a go at fitting it tomorrow.... Thank you. :D -
Form sent, going to inflate the tyres tomorrow....
-
Thanks for your help guys, Filling out a V62 form as I type. DVLA say it takes between four to five weeks which is ideal as the car's taxed until the end of June. Will borrow a pump and inflate the tyres. Stefan

2.0 16v with a dent right where the Corrado badge sits.....
-
I shall try.... I've just been to see the car. It now has four flat tyres but is taxed until the end of June. Has a small dent at the rear. Will get onto the DVLA tomorrow.

Bodyshop west London - and advice on cost/damage please
the delta force replied to _leon_'s topic in Suppliers Forum
I have used these guys in past, not for a long time though. They are quite cheap if you pay cash. Ask for Lionel. Car Body Services 020 8994 2919 20 Dolman Road, London, W4 5UY Stefan -
Hello, Have a check in Cars for sale or post a topic in the Wanted section, you may have better luck finding one that way. Stefan
-
I will do both, leave a note and also contact the DVLA on Tuesday. I'm going to have a look at it this morrning to see what it exactly looks like. You're right, it probably isn't worth that much , but seems as shame to leave it. No doubt, it will start to get vandalised if left any longer.

Its just off a roundabout, not sure if it has tax, it might do if hasn't been taken by the council. He said that he passes it on his way to work and now it has two flat tyres... Might try the note idea or befriend another police officer... Such a shame :(

A friend of mine at work has told me that someone for a reason unknown to man has dumped a '92 Corrado near his house. It's in good nick and hasn't yet received sticker from the council. I wanted to know how I could get my hands on it legally.... Checked the car on mycarcheck.com and it came back fine. Hasn't been stolen. I have a friend who is a copper and I did ask her to carry out a PNC check to find out the owners details but she doesn't have access to that at the moment. The DVLA will not give that type of info out. Does anyone know how I can find the registered keeper? Stefan

Do you know if a G60 instrument panel with fit/work on a 1990 Corrado? I've spotted one for sale. Many thanks Stefan
-
Andy (trimwizard) also fitted a handsfree car kit and my new stereo for a very good price..... Yet again, recommended. Stefan

Looks great, will get round to doing mine when I have a free weekend
-
Looks great, does the headlining still feel soft or does the paint harden the texture? I'm not going to start running my fingers on mine but just curious. Thanks Stefan

On Christmas day (night) some total idiot decided to walk over my car, wrecking the bonnet bu jumping on it and damaging my rear wiper.. Now it will be cheaper to buy a brand new bonnet from VW and have it sprayed that repair my one. Fools!!!!!
-
They look brilliant... Let us know how the headlining goes. Once I get the car back, will get on with mine.
