G60Jet, what's the bounce/rattle factor like? Anyone know of somewhere else I can upload this to where the resolution stays more like the original?

I have been toying with the idea of getting a bullet camera attachment or windscreen holder for my camcorder, but before I shell out over 60 notes or so I thought I'd try gaffa taping the camcorder to my dash to see what happened. My verdict: 1. It could work, but I certainly need more gaffa tape as it slid about quite a lot, which resulted in the great hedge shots. 2. I should not gaffa it right up against the windscreen, as you can hear the rattling in the first few clips. 3. I need to do more tests in proper sunlight (rather than an hour before the sun went down) So I did a very quick edit, hence the jumps in music and roads. (Sorry about the tunes, was having a bit of a Iron Maiden minifest!) Have bunged it on YouTube, but the quality has deteriorated from the original. Have a look anyway and let me know what you think. 3,2,1,Go!

Won't the fact you have a larger contact surface but still the same weight of the car pushing the tyre onto the road mean that you will have less pressure per cm2 to give grip? Or am I talking bullpoo? :)

Yeah its the same plug as the changer, its what I got and it works a dream (just remember to switch on the aux on your stereo - took me ages to work out why no sound was coming out!). not sure about Halfrauds, maybe have a look on their website, though its usually pretty poo with regards to what they stock. I got mine from ebay, as long as the connecting plugs match up don't think it matters if its not sony or whatever.

Looks like you've got a video and mono output there. Yellow is always the colour of video, plus on the headphone socket you have three dividing bars, instead of the usual stereo 2. Think this may be the reason, plugging a vid lead onto a stereo connection could cause trouble... below is a pic of my stereo connector going into my hifi (note only two bars), or alternatively if you have an aux socket on the back of your car stereo try one of these: Clicky

Got iTunes? Go into Preferences, then importing and choose mp3. After that go to Advanced and click on convert selection to mp3 and it will do the business...then just delete all the old file types so you don't have duplicates. Easy.

I had this problem too, solved it by just pushing the bugger until it wedged in! Maybe you could get a hammer and some long thing and persuade the metal bar until the headunit fits?

You can get one like this: Ebay clicky and it feeds into the speedo cable. However, being a '90 I am led to understand that it has a mech cable for the speedo, but there is a pulse wire for the spoiler? Is this correct? I have a very basic understanding of electronics, it seems like voodoo to me.

Basically, I'm thinking about getting one of these for my Rado, does anybody have one? I found this thread in which several people discussed it, but it dried up pretty quick. I have a '90 16 valver with mech clocks, does this mean I wouldn't be able to tap into the speedo cable? It nearly got discussed in the above thread but no definite anwer given. Anybody got any ideas? Recommendations? Thanks Jim.

Two and Half Men - Yay Scrubs - Meh. Its really gone downhill recently, the first few series were legendary, now they are getting a bit repetitititititititive. Especially Doc Cox, he used to be my fave, but has had no orginal lines for a long time now. The Janitor rules however.

I've got a '90 1.8 16v and can't fault it, it is certainly a driver's car. Mine's standard exept for alloys and she handles like a beauty. Like Mancorr says its rarer than a Golf, and imo looks better. Plus you get to see the spoiler come up every time you go over 40 (tho it does make you want to speed just to see it raise!). Mine hasn't got ABS, provides some excellent tyre screeching in weather like this when some fool slams on their brakes for no reason infront of you. I find it to be a very economical car, plus i've spent virtually nothing on it since i got it as well.

I'm loving Lost, really need it to start back up again. For some reason I'm addicted to Deadliest Catch, American Chopper and Overhaulin too. I think the standard of US programming has gone up recently, ever since 24 raised the bar. At least its not just hundreds of middle of the road sitcoms anymore, ie Everybody Loves Raymond, Home Improvement, etc. On the downside, I get subjected to Sex in the City every bloody night. Its on now, and my headphones are in, the tunes are turned up. Still got to look at those ugly slags though. At least she doesn't watch Desperate Arsewipes any more. Worse still, its my housemate and not g/f so I can't really moan.
