Not a fan to be honest, but I suppose it all depends on what bumpers you have on there, they look quite low, so the car would look a bit silly without them? Have you got a full side shot? Plus I think if you did have them, I'd go for plain ones rather than with scoops and flanges.

I'm really liking those seats Mr. 'man, they really set the car apart. Are they a slightly lighter colour than the car or is it your camera? And what's wrong with red valvers? I loved mine. Yours doesn't look too pinked either, unlike mine, though its amazing what a clean and a bit of waxing can do. Top stuff. :thumbleft:

think you need to have another look at a 1988-95 passat.......... my one: i think has a very slight air of 'rado about it . . . Oops, I actually meant Jetta, but the Passat does look a bit similar.

I thought that could be the case. I might just have to take you up on that offer Mr T. Should be in Southampton at the end of the month for a spot of canoeing so I might drop in if the hangover isn't too evil! I know my speedo is a bit generous too, but I might need an airfield for that one!

Sometimes I just wish the C was a bit nippier :(

I've done that - but that is using the road legitimately, if you know what I mean. Making a lane that doesn't exist, and cutting in front of someone is completely different even if the time savings are the same. It's a matter of principle! :) Yeah I agree with you, I guess the point I was trying to make was why didn't he just go all the way round. He's obviously a plonker. I just didn't really write it properly, curse the distracting tv! bcstudent I'm considering putting my old valver badges back on the VR once its supercharged! He he. -
Hmmm, the start of the paragraph doesn't justify the end really. But quite a good idea that.

shaun & zombie.jpg[/attachment:ctt9qrz5] Back from the dead! Does anyone know if this works on a VR? I need to calibrate my rev counter after the needle fell off.

So you never go into the right hand lane, then go all the way round the roundabout to turn left? Great time saver that one, but I do agree about cutting in infront of people, its why I always stay right up the bumper of the car I'm following. I loved my valver around town, it was great but you're right Jim, it does lack a little something when compared to more modern sporty cars, whereas the VR holds up quite well. But given the price of VRs atm, you could always sell the valver and get a bigger engine...You know you want to. Oh yeah. :) Its never quite that simple though is it? :( (i bought ziderapple's v9 a few months ago and have only just accumulated all the extra bits i needed, and it came off straight off his car!) Edit - some guy was revving the nuts off an R8 outside work today for about 1/2 hour, even the girls were drooling at the window! Supercool. -
So about 600 quid then! I assume you are taking into account that the engine is now pulling a car rather than just spinning over....

A slightly mean Passat front end?

Can you get an S2000 or RX8 for that kind of cash? They are the only things I'd have, to hell with practicality! 8) You could go old school Skyline (and have chavs coming on your bonnet. :? )

How would you get it back to your house? WTF is going on with your username Jon?  EDIT Its just changed again!
-
Ah OK, it looked exactly like one that was abandoned near me last year.

It not a G60 by any chance? With a dent on the drivers rear arch?
-
Thanks to Roadster625 for the moonlight door. Nice to meet you Nigel, I loved your blackberry. What were those wheels again?
-
I've just been looking at my bits and bobs in preparation for whanging on the V9, but I think my pulley is shagged, the edge groove has some rather healthy dents in it - I take it this will eat the belt fairly quick if I put it on. So...is it really shagged and where can I get a new one from nice and cheap like? Ta.

Location was, of course, Geneva. Good evening Mr Bond. 8)

Cool, i thought as much, just needed confirmation. Cheers Jon. (or is it John?)

ok, so it would actually stifle the flow a bit, or not really?

I wonder if someone could clear something up for me..... a 6 branch is good for fi engines which believe also should be running at least a 2.5" exhaust, yet Critical_Mass is slapping it straight onto his current system which i presume is OE width (2.25"?). so how does said 6 branch be able to fit both and still flow smoothly? Does the wider pipe narrow to attach? Cheers fellas.

No, leave it, I have it bookmarked!

You know comedy. But it depends who this bloke was, if he works for the lambo team then yeah, if he was a toothless nutter you met in the pub then no.

I guess the fact you asked a very specific question about something not many people have is also going to have an effect too, but I always find that someone on here knows the answer and will pitch in eventually, as has happened here. And if I knew half as much as Toad, I would be a happy man! Knowledgeable and a diplomat too, he is all things to all men. Where did you pick the 6 branch from? Its on the list, but as of the yet I have no idea where to get one... can't say i've looked too hard though
