Your welcome to take my spare boot lid. No body else seems to want it. Think all the internals are there. give it a go.
-
Has he got a wheel in it like knight rider then :D. Someting like this. (-----)
-
Thinking the back seats are going to be mucho wide for a corrado.
-
Dont think the leathers at all savable as it is polished smooth. The army would be impressed with the sheen thats been achieved. Stitchings still perfect though. Do you have your seat quite high. I have no probs with the clutch leg and my tt seats are a little higher than the standards lowest position.
-
Thats cool. Good to now people still go for standard. I mean its not ugly and huge and in a crash, would rather nut something padded and tested to destruction by experts.
-
Nuts dinkus. Got similar abs tom foolery going on in mine and my mot looms. Was hoping you had vagcom at yours as you sound like a technical bloke. Spend time visiting Robbie next door to you but never bump into you. Must work way too hard

Has anyone got past the aftermarket steering wheel thing and had a standard vr wheel retrimmed. Any ideas on costs. I mean the retrimming cost is normally for the amount of leather. Not much on a steering wheel! Sure mj interiors would have a go. Thinking of putting a coloured enamel vw badge where the black one is in the middle. Whats your thoughts? Got a nice italvolant number but I like the Chunky middle part of the standard rather than the rubber boss.

Got to say that i have gone through the whole seat thing and have ended getting what I think is right for the car. tt Standard leathers suit it down to the ground in every way. Look sooo oem. Done the buckets thing. You will boil in the summer and you cannot fidget. You will never be able to take someone of a larger frame in it. Got to say the standards were good but mine had the bases sagging a bit. Will post the TT picks up laters.

Would I be mistaken into thinking that the front look different because you have recessed the indicator/fog lights. Not seen that done before. hows that achieved?

Any chance of posting picks of the lpg tank. Seriously considering this as 1 pound a litre looks odds on. How does the performance compare?

I only wish I had pictures but I was probably on his land and would be shot on sight! Some people have no idea. deep water does not cover it! Does that invalidate the warranty or something? Being full of water an all

Took a spin in the country yesterday and came across a bloke in a very clean looking 56 plate x-type estate. He miss took this vehicle for a boat me thinks. You would have thought the 2 feet plus marker would hint at the danger. Its not even a small ford. Must be 15 meters of water, mostly 2 feet deep. People were swimming in it! He had pulled the thing out of the water with help but I still walked over to see if I could advise or help. Got close to him only to hear the 40 something gent say "Wed best push the car to one side for when daddy comes". I swiftly turned round. Boll**ks to him. His butler can come and do it. Could see through the open door that the indoor pool was clearly open for business. Made a good day better. Poor car also.

Try fitting one still in the car. Done it twice. Believe 40-45kg wouldnt be far off. lots is the answer

It is a 12v positive im after. Just wondering where I should pinch it from. Probably down the side of the drivers seat If I new the colour im looking for. Was worried about shorting out that system but I guess the bluaupunkt would have delt with that. What colour wire am I after?

Can any electrical brain please tell me how to wire up a reverse light signal into my sat nav head unit as it seems to be a requirement and Ive no idea where to begin. I know where it belongs on the iso lead but where do i feed off of the light circuit. Thanks

You are totally correct in thinking that. Got ibiza brembos on my 4 stud.
-
If you use vr bearing housings on a narrow wishbone, the wheel will not be centered in the wheel arch. Been there done it. Changed to a narrow track to fit porsche wheels and brembos. Vr on narrow wishbones. Wheel sits 40 mill back. g60 on wide wishbones. 40 mill forward. Just change the cv and hub for 5 stud.

I bought a spark plug socket that has a foam tube inside so it grabs the plug but still has enough flex to let the socket get to the plug hex. Good idea me thinks. works good. BC
-
I did a 5 to 4 conversion 6 months ago. Wishbone to subframe is fine for all types i think. The only thing to look out for is only 4 stud bearing housings connect up right to narrow wishbones. I connected vr6 hubs to narrow wishbones and the wheel sat about an inch forward in the arch. In reality vr corrado wishbones move the bottom ball joint forward but the bearing housing moves it back The same amount if that makes sense. Your only option to maintain a wide track is a hub swap only. It all still mates to the vr cv joint and keeps brakes and stuff BC

Very simple question about the slam panel on a VR
12 DEG BEN replied to Son of a Beesting's topic in Exterior
No mate, These screws go onto the inner most side of the chassis leg and go vertically downward. The hole is at the same hight as the battery tray. look between the end of the radiator and the back of the light. Should be there abouts. They bolt the slam panel on and no other devices. BC -

Mate, have you put the two in behind the headlight, inside the bonnet. Goes from the slam panel to the chassis leg just before the battery and air box on both sides. Mine had 2 under each light. 1 to each wing. 2 to each wing top. 2 to the front valance and 1 each side inside. hope it helps. BC -
Hello I have a shrick big valve head on mine. Couldnt tell you how it improves the engine as im Running 268 cams and a lighted bottom end. Can tell you that its a missile but vibrates on tickover a bit. If you got it, Id use it. Even if its just for the name. Sorry I cannot be more help. BC

Hello The main plug has a locking ring in the middle of the grippy outer cover that rotates but the rest of the plug stays still. As you turn this ring the plug should move away from the engine on its own and as you look at it from the battery side it spins anti clockwise. Hope this makes sense and helps. BC
