  1. Superb Rick. Thats what i needed and thats where they are going. Jammin. All the available switch blanks are full. Thats what the problem was.
  2. Use the big hole under the battery tray/chassis leg where one of the originals are. easy
  3. Cheers dinkus. The search can be a mischievous friend that sometimes pokes you in the eye and runs of with hours of my time.
  4. The one I saw in what is a tight beetle interior looked very small. 911s are really small inside too. If its comparible to the corrado wheel I might just do it. Any one know the size of the porsche?
  5. Thats the fella. What do you think? Looks better in person.
  6. just above the lighter. Ive seen them and they are us spec I thought. Tough to find for sure.
  7. If you have lights and switches for abs, fogs front and rear, rear demist, and heated seats, where on earth do you stick the air con buttons on the dash for future reference? Ive used the blank the other side for phone buttons.
  8. Has any one put an early porsche steering wheel on there corrado before. Im talking about the one with the two horizontal bars across the middle with the square horn pad in between. It must fit as I saw one on a beetle at the sandown vw event this year so comes from the vag group parts bin of sorts. It looked very small in a small beetle cab so could be suitable. Was planning on getting my standard wheel re leathered but I fancy something to go with my wheels. Maybe having volkswagen branded or stitched across it instead of porsche. What have you seen or what are your thoughts?
  9. Changed the cams back to standard over the weekend and now the engine idles at 1300 constant. Maintains that idle perfectly and the isv has been cleaned. Had no problems before so what potentially have I done or not done?. It starts like normal. Lowers to 800 but slowly climbs to 1300 after a few minutes. Some sort of hole that opens when it gets warm? Have read about the resting angle of the throttle. Can someone clarify this as I had the cable out of the assembly.
  10. I have very little idea what my screen is worth and my half smoked rear light are in good nick but are not genuine. Judging by your motor you probably want hella. Still 10 quid for the lights. Sand and laquer them and no ne would know. 40 for the screen. Im cutting the screen rubber to get it out. You will probably do the same and fit a new seal yes. Should be fun. The cars in bishops waltham near toads place.
  11. Just informing the forum of the availability of these from VW again as I read they were not in production any more. They have 4 left in stock. They are 42 quid +vat. Not a bargain but hey.
  12. Goldie mocks bloke on black t shirt day!
  13. Nice car. Always thought oak green was a facelift mk2 colour. You live and learn. Might be able to help you out with a screen if its a job you can diy. Nearly new top tint currently in my mk2. Got The half smoked tail lights too. maybe another vr you say?
  14. So it is. Thanks. Just took a lot of cleaning to see it and of course schrik grind them from vw blank cams so it will have the same markings as the standard cams. Good stuff.
  15. Can someone tell me what markings they should have on them. I expected them to have schrik in big letters or something. Just me making sure before selling them. Did go like spanking fast, was peeky and lumpy on tickover so Im sure they are.
  16. So if im reading this right the spring and shock assembly is too long to fit between the top mount seat and the 2 bolts to the hub. Have you tried spring compressors and depressing the shock whilst fitting. You probably have. I do know from working on a 4motion that the struts are massively long. When you jack up the car the wheels seem to fall off the thing.
  17. I had a 2000 gti from new with all the trimmings on top. Car was great. Went for ever on a tank of gas ( compared to vr ). Was always being asked about it. Great looking standard before mods. Brakes were incredible. Engine was eager but found it a little short of punch. Headlights were the best part. Absolute daylight although the beam was so precise that when dipped and travelling at speed they didnt illuminate cats eyes or animal eyes like normal lenses do. They dont give you a split seconds advanced notice and have no manual adjustment. Still a very capable car and when selling it a bloke came to replace his crashed silver 5 door. He'd rolled it into a field with 3 passengers and they all got out with scratches so. Only trouble I had was the rad fan packed up and tried to boil itself. When selling it I read somewhere that turbo kits were available for it. just an option?
  18. Thats a coincidence. My play thing is a corrado and the work a day shuttle is a metalic red 306. The pug is amazingly entertaining and the steerings is about as perfect as it gets. Goes round corners with zip to.
  19. Good to see another bunch of well loved corrados. Where abouts in spain are you guys from? Also you have helped me personally as I have a vr on porsche cup 2s and have been thinking about the ride hight. Got mine on standard suspension with slightly chopped springs. Its still usable with our rubbish roads, even when 4 up. Got some 40mm drop springs that could go on. What sort of drop are you using?
  20. In my corrado dashed mk2 golf, I fitted the rear electric window switch out of a mk3 as the doors had no switches. Fitted perfect and looked good.
  21. Dont want to be left out so if your still making then If poss im buying. All singing, all dancing please. Bottom of the list sir!
  22. the rear drainage tubes pop out of the rear quarters behind the bumper side pieces. the fronts appear at the bottom of the windscreen pillar and the tube ends in the gap between the door and wing panel.
  23. Good work mate. Really coming round to white on corrados.
  24. Cool. Tried it off the vehicle and would not budge. I will give it a go. cheers
  25. Can anyone shed some light on where I can buy a new standard vr6 one from and a guide on how much? Also I have tried in the past to remove the fpr from the fuel rail before and it wasnt going to budge. Whats the technique here? tanks
