  2. yea there is, and i wish i had the smaller tank out of the two  it cost me about 68quid to fill it up (not complelty empty)
  3. i was looking at my car the other day (k reg G60) and i noticd that the owner before me has cut the car wiring plug of the lamda sensor and used crimps, the normal plug is still on the lambda wiring harness it just has the crimps that go on them terminals. any1 know what colour wire goes where? simon
  4. well this thread got me thinking, i looked at my miles etc earlier and ive done 168miles so far, its a 15gallon tank and its just touching the 8gallon mark, this sound about right? simon
  5. better to run rich then lean! id u rean lean then you run risks of melting pistons and do serious damage to your engine. if its before a 1992 registerd vehicle, get a decat pipe, as this will free up a few more horses (not noticble really) but it will help your exhaust gases flow a hell of alot more easily. i think its like u said mate, u hopd from a 11 106 which are quite a economical motor, i went from a 1400XS 205 to a GTi mk1 cabby, notice it rank abit more fuel because you have more grunt in the engine, i then went from the cabby to the G60 and i feal as if im in the same boat as u, i took mine to work and got it on the MOT gas analyser and its within the mot specs for its year, but like i say matey better to be safe then sorry, running a bit rich isn really to much of a problem. if your worryd get it down your local garage and ask them to just check the emissons as you feal its over fueling, this will only take 5min if that and they shudnt charge you for it. just give em a few quid for a beer or so ;) simon
  6. i found this site the other night,http://www.corrado-club.com/corrado/faq/G60RebuildInfo.html duno how much help it is. got told the charger belt is easy to change, just put some tip ex marks on each cog to keep them inline slip it of and slip the new one on. might give it a bash this weekend.
  7. ive read up and been advised to change the super charger "timing belt" ive been told to get the uprated 11mm wide one? i was looking into rebuilding it my self but think i have decided to save up abit more and send it of at a later date. but one thing is worrying me if that belt snaps apparently it absolutly knackers the charger and a new charger is needed? so my question is... whilst im saving up for a charger rebuild how easy is it to replace that belt? id rather do that now to put my mind at rest untill i can save up abit to send it of for a serive. also if anyone has got any usefull links to super charger rebuilding etc that shows you how to replace that belt, would be gladly appreciated. simon
  8. what happnes with he main beams? if u flick of main beam and goto normal beam wont you have no lights for a split second whilst you wait for the HIDs to ignite and get warm. simon

  12. cool, chears does the dewedged throtle body make it run lumpy? tick over funny etc? also is it something i could do my self as im quite mechanicle mided also the baffle box is this the plastic box thing just behind the radiater, thats held on with 4x10mm bolts that are abit awquared to get at? simon
  13. de wedged and charger baffel? what is this about? ive heard a few people talking about de wedging your throtttle body? pros and cons if anyone could please and also can i remove the super charger baffel pot thingy but still keep the hot air recirculater, as i dont want to remove the pipe completly just want to make the charger sound alot more beefy. simon

  15. any1? i have the master fob. thanks simon
  16. i was at wor the other day, and whilst having a fag outside (smoking bans!!) i stared at this iveco truck 6litre turbo diesel thingy! and its got a front mounted intercooler on it! also comes with standerd!!!! iveco red silicone hoses! each pipework comes out either side, im going to get it soon as its for scrap so ill get some pics up. will hopefully do a step by step process as the g works one was a little vague last time i lookd. simon
  17. right then, i have just got back from buying a set of 17" wheels from Geoffb, honest and sound bloke! perfect description of the wheels. said they where new with new tyres, got there, they are new with new tyres! he said one had slight rim rash... got there cudnt hardly see it till he pointed it out! real honest fella! and a nice range of cars 8) hope to deal with you in the future mate! 8)
  18. i noticed on my fuel rail there is a regulater, it has a vacuum pipe going to the inlet manifold bout 15cm long, mine was split and drawing air in, check all your lil vacuum tubes etc, before going onto major stuff mate.
  19. chears mate, what size is that cooler? make? is it a universal one? chears simon
  20. im after a front mounted intercooler, what is the best ones to use? anybody got any measurments? is there one i can get of another car that will fit in without mods to any slamp panals etc? i am aware of that ill need to alter piperwork but i dont want to bend or cut my slam panal about. chears simon also a im looking into a cam if anybodys got a sugestion for a cam on a g60 id appreciate that.
  21. ahhhhhhhhhhhh i see! sound mate! thanks alot, appreciate this! i will double check the screws, if they are stripd you say you have some spares? simon
  22. i forgot to mention, ive got a second sunroof lid that ive sent of for spraying as the old one has got scratchs down it. so the rounded nuts arnt really an isue as they are ok on the new lid. mainly just the leaking water issue. simon
  23. no its where the torque screws screw into the sunroof, the nut has stripd its thread (previous owner i think as the roof was held on with cable ties when i came to renew the mechanism, the seal is leaking along the rear long edge, where there isnt any guttering, i have got all the roof lining out and inner sunroof panal out. chears simon
  24. fitted the mechanism etc and it works spot on, but the adjuster screw parts on the lid are rounded of on the drivers side so it just grips slightly but soon as you move the roof with the motor the lid flops about on that side, also ive fitted the new seal but it absolutly soaks me in water when i put the hose over the top, is this because of the adjuster screws? can you out the seal on the wrong way round? any tips? simon
