Just rescued my old Car from the Scrapper!!
Jonny777 replied to spanneredmonkey's topic in General Car Chat
Good work! Does make me sad when I see Corrados in the scrappers. :( -
I thought that but it winds back with the Allen key. Would that still happen if it was the runners? If they work mate then they may well be use to me! I'm just well out of my depth on anything electrical.
-
Fitzy, are they fully working? If you can help out it would be great! I've put a Mk3 Roof in mine and it did seem the motor does fit - just my problem is it won't slide back! Only tilts and as my current Corrado one is goosed and only tilts I'm rather peeved about it! Is there any particular part number for Mk3 one that'll fit?

Hi there, I'm after a sunroof motor for my Rado VR6 K reg. It's late spec inside so I'm guessing I need a late spec motor! I need one as soon as possible local to Ilkley or Brighouse West Yorkshire. Thanks, Jonny.

Ilkley would be a good choice.... no bias, obviously.

Welcome to another fellow Leeds member!

As in my old one? Too many Jonnys knocking about! Haha. It looked good from a distance that car. Haha. Was a 700 quid bargain. Thanks though chap, wouldn't ever have said the best on here! Some mind boggling cars on here. Hopefully can get my £500 VR6 to look as good.

Whats the 3 hour method? I'm going to need to do mine and i'm curious what that is!

My old one! My new one!

Cheers, I haven't seen any others for sale with less mileage! Most for the 4 times the price I paid for this one.! Thanks! :) It seems so, I know it's going to be a money pit as all Corrados are, but I've got time. I think so! The bonus of buying a car from family! Haha! Cheers mate, my old one is still going with a good mate of mine so hopefully will look like that again soon. The VR6 is going to be more OEM+ i'm hoping with some motorsport style wheels I think. Would love a set of Leather Recaro's for it but I could buy this Corrado again twice for the same price as one set of them!

How do all! Been out of Corrado ownership for a couple of years since i got rid of my Dark Burgundy Pearl 2.0 16V. Looked like this: Absolutely missed it like hell when I got rid of it but I REALLY wanted a VR6, so it had to happen. I was just looking for the right one at the right money. Fortunately a close family member was selling his and I offered him a very little amount of money. After some umming and arring he thought why not! So I went down the next day and got the thing brought back to Yorkshire and shoved it in the garage! Absolutely over the moon with it! It isn't perfect by any means but for the money that I paid for it everything could've been broken and i'd still got a bargain. K Reg early VR6, I think its Moonlight Blue Pearl, but I haven't double checked the paint code yet. Its definitely blue anyway! 92k on the clocks. Engine still pulls like a train, no noises, whines or knocks. Handles well even on the standard suspension! Interior is mint aside from some manky mats, easy to sort though. Back seats have the hump with a completely mint first aid kit still in there too! Only modifications so far are a Jetex catback exhaust and a K&N cone air filter. It is however recorded as a Cat D write off from quite a few years ago. But you couldn't tell! Just the fact theres no rear VW badge gives it a away. Some pics: Plans are to sort the immediate problems but its a long term project so will just put time into it as and when I can. At the moment the temp gauge isn't working, the sunroof is in a very weird position and doesn't slide, just tilts. I think the heater matrix is about to blow up as i've had some steamy windows on the passenger side whilst driving it and it need brakes all round with brake pipes and flexi hoses so will most likely get a lot of uprated items to replace them. The wheels could also do with a refurb as they have a lot of weird marks on them and quite a bit of corrosion in places. It will be getting modified but not to the extent of my DBP one as I want this to be more of an original looking OEM car. So there it is! Any comments welcome!

Lovely stuff, well its a start then! Will check into why its not working. Thanks for the advice gents!

I did a search a few days ago and I couldn't find one that didn't work full stop, just that was being erratic. I might have missed one though. Are those things particularly difficult to do/to find?

Spotted a dark coloured VR6 just coming down the road towards Addingham, Ilkley from Silsden a couple of days ago. Looked rather nice! Can't remember the reg though.

Good afternoon all! Just recently picked myself up a Corrado VR6 after being out of the Corrado game for 2 years and was just beginning to assess the little issues i've got. Its a K Reg and at the moment the Coolant temperature gauge isn't working at all. So have been using the Oil temp on the MFA as a guide. Any ideas on what it is that caused it to not work full stop? Is it going to be a sender issue or most likely the dash clocks? Thanks!

Spotted what I assume was a black VR6 in Brighouse. Number plate was C6 VRG I think. Pulled up next to me in my daily Octavia VRS at the roundabout at the top.

Corrado VR6 / 16v Silicone Coolant Hose Group Buy Feeler
Jonny777 replied to beastie4126's topic in Group Buy Feelers
I'd be interested in a set for my 2.0 16v. :) if they're available that is. -
Kip mate, do you happen to know how those chaps respond to arch rolling? I'm in Sheffield at the moment so could pop in and see if they could give me a quote. Need my rear arches rolling and painting.

If you're worried Police may think that then get on to Citizens Advice Bureau. Can see what they think if the Police would bother doing you for wasting police time. But if criminal damage has been caused i don't see how they can! Really does anger me. Arsehole people.
-
If it was me, i know its maybe a tad too far, but if i saw someone dent/damage my car i'd ring the police and tell them she committed criminal damage and i want her arrested to be very fecking honest. That way she might get the point and offer to repair the car. If not, I hope she gets arrested and charged. Hell, if you can get her arrested for leaving the scene of an accident that'd be even better. I DESPISE people who think its ok to do that.

 An 8v never produces more torque than a 16v.
