  1. MO's seem to be around £500 and I'm tight for cash as a Rotrex charger is next I will have to stick with the current wheels which leaves me with the Wilwood, Hi-Spec, Tarox and Brembo sets using 280mm discs. Sticking to 4 pots, while I'm here grooved or drilled or both? The Grey Pagid pads sound absolutely outstanding to me, matching almost word for word what I want my brakes to do. Oh, how long do Quaife LSD last? Do they have lifetime warranties, I'm picking up one second hand in the next few days.
  2. Is the 298.5mm disc the VR disc size? Which will fit in behind 15's ?
  3. Running 15" BBS RZ wheels ET30(?) looking at 280/285mm discs, could I stretch the disc size a little larger though. Great thread guys, anybody with the same wheels running big brake set ups? Wilwood do a Superlite caliper for a 298.5mm disc but no info on clearances required on their website. Could these work, maybe try phoning round but who is best to speak to for Wilwood products?
  4. Sorry didn't make myself clear, a cheaper system isn't always bad but I do value quality very highly and wouldn't skimp a hundred pounds or so if the more expensive items are really that good. Willwood, great, will check them out.
  5. I have decided to upgrade my 1.8 16V brakes to 4 pot calipers fitting under 15" wheels, I looked the forum thru and found lots of info on brake upgrades, not so much on 4 pots though. Looking for a bit of feebdack and advice. 1. Brembo, AP out of my budget. Tarox are reputable, I know the name, a little more than Hi Spec. Hi Spec good value, I found bad info on there service and quality but this info is from 2003/4 to be fair. Has anybody got any views on their brake sets. 2. Any other trackday/race spec brakes recommended, along the lines of the brakes used by one make series racing cars, I can't find any good sites for this. I will not skimp on brakes, they have so much influence on the track and as I trackday the car I want to know that they work, reliably and solid all day everyday.
  6. I was thinking on the Lupo, after reading the thread and picking myself up from the floor laughing think I'll chuckle my way down to VW and check out the price. The part numbers are on page 2 at the top. Excellent work by the way, makes it all worth while trawling the pages of the forum. I was looking for anyone fitted Cayenne 17" winter wheels to a C and now I'm off for a much needed wiper upgrade. :thumbleft:
  7. That sounds smart. Do you know if the height off the car floor is similar doing this as I would like to keep the same driving position. Do they weld on inside the car, do I have to cut out any of the current shell?
  8. possible?I read that some of you have welded the subframes from standard Corrado seats to Recaros, will this work with TT front seats? Can I fit the rear seats from the TT into a G plate corrado 16V :?:
