  1. Hi all. Im fed up changing broken gears and rebuilding stock gearbox :) Thinking about the best way to make gears stronger and how to decrease the chances of stress fracture. But not sure where to go or what treatment is the best for used gears, shot peening or cryo treatment? Anyone on here who is done this?
  2. Only possible to fit these is to make some adapters.http://forum.corradoclub.cz/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=210.0;attach=12281;image
  3. No traction control yet. ;) Front Brembo calipers from Fiat Coupe. If youve got turbo bits ready, then do it. But the gearbox at 1 bar boost is the weakest part as ive lost 5th gear again when i was tailgating C63 Amg at 160mph on autobahn. Fortunatelly there was no oil leak so I was able to do 600 miles at 4th gear.
  4. I had to use some door handles. When ive bought it the doors were completely shaved. :( Im going to put different doors in the future.I do agree, original is the best.
  5. Thanks mate. It is mine and door handles are from mazda mx3 or 5????
  6. Remove sensor from the exhaust and do free air calibration first. I had same problem.
  7. Im using same cable, simillar to this one for years with no trouble. What do you need is to install a proper PL2303 Prolific USB to serial drivers. http://www.dtafast.co.uk/Downloads/Downloads_Index.htm

  9. Hi. I have for sale this manifold + flexi section with O2 sensor boss. I had this on my car for over a year with no problems such blowing and has a good under car clearance. These have been wrapped by myself and can be easily unwrapped if you dont like it. I have paid more then £450. I will accept £300 for two pieces plus postage or these can be collected from Birmingham. Mobile(messages) 07783439162
  10. Thats my mistake, coz I left boost pipe loose for better flexibility, but when engine was rocking under load the alternator pulley touched it and slowly grind trough clamp and hose and it ruined all my testing, speed. ---------- Post added at 1:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:33 PM ---------- Thanks for info. Its real beast. I have 5th gear from diesel fitted,so at 166mph engine speed is 6200. Still a 1000 rpm left.
  11. Do you know anything more about his RS4? What engine is in it?

  13. More boost issues. Against BMW M5 V10(570hp) Top was 166mph,but i couldnt drive it on full power. More info and pics at http://www.facebook.com/vmax200
  14. Vmax Afterburner Bruntingthorpe vs Audi RS4 (700hp)
  15. From Brembo website Where can I find test data on stopping distances? At the speeds that stopping distance is generally measured from (60 to 70mph), the test is primarily testing the tire's grip on the pavement. As delivered from the manufacturer, nearly all vehicles are able to engage the ABS or lock the wheels at these speeds. Therefore, an increase in braking power will do nothing to stop the vehicle in a shorter distance. For this reason, we do not record stopping distances at this time. The Brembo systems will show their greatest advantages when braking from higher speeds, or when tasked with repeated heavy braking. The increased braking torque provides for maximum deceleration at speed, and the ability to absorb and quickly dissipate the intense heat generated during repeated braking insures that the braking system will perform at the same high level each time.
  16. Thank you guys. TVR owner was cool chap,no problem, but those Honda ones were upset. Never look or talk after race. :-D The tyres are Hankook K110 Evo 12,but comletely worn out after 9 runs. :-) Going to get some slick tyres for next time.
  17. Time slip. Mine are highlighted. First race is against TVR. Fourth vs Gti. Sixth vs Evo VIII
