  3. Turbo project is complete. CR is lowered down to 9:1 using 2mm thick spacer. At this moment is fully mapped at 0.6bar. There are some videos on my youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/alfounx?feature=mhee

  8. I have some bad news. I had to remove cylinder head as n.1 spark plugs ground electrode was missing. Some pictures of what i found out.
  9. No worries Sam. Keep it as long as you need it or you can have it as a spare one for 25 squid. I dont need it. I dont know what exactly happened,but I presume that crack was there before. Under boost it shows more then when it was NA. On the opposite side where is the crack is cylinder bore heavily scored. When I did compression test,that one had lower readings then others,but still in tolerance. Under the boost it was loosing pressure and making air fuel ratio lean which was causing detonations. I will post some pics into my thread.
  10. Im glad to hear just positives about your car. And you deffo need some bigger brakes. :) I have some bigger issues with mine as I found cracking on no.1 cylinder wall. Under boost it was destroying plugs.
  11. Megasquirt has tacho output at pin 29. When I was using it on my VR6 engine,this circuit is what you need.

  14. I was working when I made up adaptor for VR6 connector,then I found out its same fitment,just different plug. Its of BUB engine 2009. Let me know your address and I will send it asap. There is no number on it ,just vw audi.
  15. The engine is complete and running,but it needs a lot of dataloggings to clear things out. Boost is coming after 3k rev and start to whisle about 2.5k. Best mod I have ever done to my car. You are welcome to come and check it Kadvr6. Im working in Smethwick.
  16. Im glad you getting somewhere to solve your problems. I have a spare crank sensor,so you can have it and try if thats hepls. Then you can buy a new one and keep this or returned it. I dont need it as Im using VR6 one. Hope you will sort this soon.
  17. There is 2cm gap between turbo heat shield and manifold,but I hope that heat barrier will be effective enough to keep manifold off the heat. Yes,for start im going to use this plastic manifold. But short intake is on the list,if everything goes right. ---------- Post added at 9:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:46 PM ---------- Thanks Kev. Im using mig for tacking too. It is possible to use Tig for it as well,but I prefer mig. Much easier. On 0.6bar boost there should be around 420hp and 330lb/ft(450nm) :)
