  1. yep electric heated leather is just standard corrado leather, as said above these are the standard cloth seats with leather instead of cloth (the bolsters have the same part numbers) and with an electric heat pad in that connects under the seat to the loom they dont go for £800... if they did i'd sell mine!! but electrically position adjustable recaros go for £800 ish a set due to the 'scene points' factor and imo being a better looking seat :D o it doesnt seem to matter whether they're half leather or full, they seem to command the same price and non leather recaros seem to go for about £100 less for a ful interior, then these late and early which gives you different designs on the fabrics and deisigns as well as the position of the switches on the door cards... confused yet? cos i am

    Wheel Woes

hiya mate, soudns like you've had a bad run there, there are plenty of folks on here with 16v's and g60's who've fitted the vr6 spec hubs to allow the 5x100 wheels to fit as intended, you could do this for a more factory soloution and you'd never have to worry about the problems with spacers ever again! :-)
  3. looks like a great find :D v clean looking and as cheesewire says a v late obd2! 8) you have a point and i would have agreed until recently, when i bought mine, the bodywork was clean, leather good, engine sweet and the speelines had recently been refurbed but everybolt and fitting i seem to try and remove seems to be corroded and needs special tools to remove, yes high miles arent a major issue but age still has a nasty effect and i suppose the more road it sees the more its likely to rust! :(
  4. would it not be better to fit some 5x100 hubs then the problems solved, no expense on adaptors and your wheel bearings are still cool 8)
  5. No idea how much the gti's worth really as i've had it 4 years and i've changed the look around a few times, i'll have to look at the current ones for sale and compare when its finally ready for sale! no worries stu, thought that'd be the case! o to get a bit of retrebution report the add on ebay as well as falsely advertised then the bsatard can get it removed! If you can make it to nomads steve mk3 is a fantastic example, black 3dr, black leather, slammed on polished 9x16 rs's and freshly built vr 8)

    My nugget G60

    V V V nice 8) got yourself a good one there
  7. thats a fcuker you drove all that way to see a shed stu are you only in the market for a mk3 vr cos i've finally rebuilt my mk3 gti anniversary 8v, stripped all the arches, de-rusted, painted and re-trimmed, it went into the bodyshop last year and had the two drivers side doors repainted cos there was a bubble in the middle of each door and the tailgate was completely stripped for the same reason. Absoloutely no rust, brand new mk5 gti rep wheels, all that remains is for me to refit the rear bumper and exhaust, fit the new vag drivers seat bolster, the red trim strips in the front and rear bumpers and new pressed uk legal plates and its ready to be mot'd and go for sale, not a bad little car with a piper cam, decat, superchip and k&N but certainly no match for a VR :( but being a modded 5 door its a bit different!
  8. ha ha well done! and i thought my pile of bits was getting daft
  9. looks good man, chekc the usual vr6 bits as said, check the arches, inside and out, check around the rear semas for rust and the tailgates :? sounds like alot but generally give it a dam good goign over, o and one area i always forget, the roof! see if it has any nasty chips and bubbles, apart from that, good luck 8)
  10. well its a 4 hour ish job so £200ish is about right for labour rates down here, unless you went to vw... £95 an hour was the last figure i was quoted!!
  11. what was the original question agian  i'd say karls list'll give you a good says worth of phone calls to people, should get an idea from those guys in the know, o and beigey's technique sounds spot on to me
  12. sh1t john, little b*stards! at least they didnt get in, similar thing happened to my friends 306 last week, they smashed the glovebox up and scratched all the dash! :( with a hole in the door like that it will deffo need welding but it looks repairable, if you can put up with it i'd imagine they could do a localised repair but you will probably see a blend :( i really hope you get it repaired though dude!
  13. karl  well storm developments seem pretty experianced with putting the r32 into mk2's so a corrado wouldnt be anymore difficult for them i wouldnt think, or theres stealth?
  14. cheers boys, i'll let you know how i get on :D
  15. I've decided that running the Corrado everyday is daft, its costing me a fortune in bits and pieces to keep it running and 400miles+ a week is putting the miles up at a crazy rate, so i've got myself a passat diesel for the job now and after picking up some A8 18x8.5 fat fives i want to satin black them and wack them on the car, they have a few scuffs so i'd like to know the best way of filling these and what paint to use for the job? was thinking of roughing up the surface then using some hammerite special primer for alloy then hammrite spray on satin black... anyone done this or could recomend a better way?
  16. just had a grated cheese sandwich on brown bread with sensations chilli crisps in... :) tastey!
  17. saw this thread earlier and thought... whats zaino... anyway, i was looking on the ukpassats site and came across this thread... http://www.ukpassats.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6688 might be some use, and the bloke seems to know his stuff!! HTH
  18. hmmm that looked like the interior that karl got gazumpt on last month on ebay.. woner if it was from that one? small world i suppose!
  19. agreed... but... I'd make an exception if someone were to give me a DB9 convertable though 8)
  20. looks liek a love child of a megane coupe and the new focus :camp: ... not a fan
  21. car looks stunning wheels look gash.... IMHO! lol, they dont follow the line of the wheel arch!... if that looked good all new cars now would have oval or worse... citroen bx style rear arches!! lol
  22. eh?? edit- moving, ok... oops! cheers greeny, i think its deffo worth the trip with the difference in prices when it'd only be an additional £50 in fuel cost!!... although i havent really got the time and cant be arsed to do a 300 mile round trip... :camp:
  23. I popped into the bodyshop down the road from work today, porsche and vw specialist repair centre [and main dealer approved] ... hmm should be a good place to ask about getting my arches rolled i thought... so a older chap came out to talk to me and first he called the C a scirocco then a corolla then a scirocco again :confused4: hmmm... specialists??? anyway despite this they looked at the car and seemed confident they could roll the lips as they do it quite a lot on the porsches, but they're charging 1.5 hrs per arch... £40 ph + vat = a £300ish pound job :pale: i'd looked on a a certain company who are known for making wheels wider  who offer this service and they charge £100 for all 4 arches!!... but they're in the wrong part of the country to me... is £300 the going rate for rolling as this doesnt include any paint just the use of the nylon roller??
