  1. thanks for the replys boys, in that case i'll hold on to them for a while, pureklas have quoted 240 to fully refurb and polish so i think i'll just hold onto them for the time being... big shiney paperweights!
  2. rare as rocking horse poop i think... philski has a 2.0 8v auto if you wanna try pm'ing him to ask about what their like... i'd guess they handle like a valver with the power of a mk3 2.0 8v?? (i have a gti 8v and i love em but they're much better suited as cruisers!)
  3. Run out of room in my garage and need a clear out I have a set of TT comps that were on my golf never been refurbed... they all have a small amount of kerbing and one has some scratches on the face... no centre caps and the tires are all illegal, how much are they worth guys... havent got a clue!! thanks andy
  4. I have just bought myself some new front seats but they are not corrado fit and have different brackets on each side... i want to make new ones of these and am planning to weld to original corrado seat frames so i can keep the adjustability and secure factory mountings, has anyone done this before? if not does anyone know if a standard seat can be butchered for its frames?? if so i'm on the look out for some seats past their use by date! thanks andy *edit* title change to reflect new way of fitting
  5. ha ha, they're being sent early next week so, eventually i will do... :D
  6. thanks for all your replies guys, i've got my hands on something a little more special now so i've just got to make them fit when they arrive :D
  7. hello and welcome to the forum, as the guys have said we all would love to know about your rather special Corrado... if you have a few pics why not start a thread in the members gallery and show off your pride and joy... 10 years! wow!
  8. I'm v interested in a carbon late style bonnet rear numberplate surround and spoiler, do you have any ideas when they might be available? (i realise the spoilers available now) o and i've heard from peoples experiance with carbon spoilers they chatter at speed, is this the case with these?... do alot of miles a week in mine so it'd need to be quiet!
  9. i had the 312's on with 16x7 rxII's before and they have loads of clearance on the 17x7.5 RC's i have atm so i thought they should fit within the diameter it was the spoke clearance i was concerned about...but if 312's sit further in then thats cool :D thanks brembo's... oooo i heard they dont fit under RC's but i cant say i've seen anything about RS301's?
  10. as it sounds really... i think i heard somewhere the 301's were designed for motorsport so i'd have thought that maybe they would... any help'd be cool thanks
  11. a couple of nuts, off with the old, ond with the new, do up and your away... about 10 mins :D
  12. yep worth its weight in gold that one although a few people on here do have fully functioning standard wipers... how strange!! lol
  13. erm when i got my corrado i ammended a policy started a few months earlier when i was 20... went up to what would have been 2.5k a year! lol, that was license for 3 years but an accident on my record from the previous year and no no claims, this year £1100... up for renewal in a months time so i'll be using the names suggested here, cheers!
  14. Hi whilst driving back from work i heard a strange noise and pulled off and checked the engine, the fans were moving only by inertiaq even though the vr had been running for 20mins and the oil temp was about 98 and water was 90, thought, o shit i'm only 15mins from home on country roads, i'll take it easy and get home witht he blowers on blowing as much hot air as possible. Ran the car to work again this morning to check the problem was still there, it is, and the oil temo is staying around 98-100 yet the water seems to have dropped between 70-80- even after a 40min journey,, i've checked the fuses and connections can anyone advise is this is a common problem?? :( cheers andy
  15. ha ha, your insane, in a good way! :D looks like its gonna be a total beastie when done, cant wait to see this!! have fun man!
  16. well done that man... sounds like a good place to start.... anyway, ola chrissie, you made it on here :) i havent been up to northampton in ages! sorry to hear koot's still playing up! o take a looky at the events page, if your free pop in to the pod on sunday and come join the fun... think theres about 20 rados gonna be on the corrado-forum stand, should be a giggle... sorry :offtopic: good luck!, andy
  17. gorgeous car and an absolute animal i'd imagine... if only i could raise the funds that'd be my dream engine spec! well done man!! 8)
  18. yep thanks baron and john, i want new stadard ones, a friend of jon's (vwdevient) can do them but he's about 50miles away and doesnt work weekends so i'd have to take it over on a weekday :? guess i'll have to start ringing round locally o and the brake lines were quoted at 3 hours labour (172.50) + £40 of materials as they made them from scratch but they apparently took 5 hours to do and lots of swearing! they charged the quote figure which was good as they had more than that from me for the full service and stuff and were going to get the job of doing the rear bushes and slinging the new front and rear ARB's in whilst they did it (another 172.50 + parts which i will supply)
  19. Well i got the C back from its major service the other day from the TT shop and... :( as well as having needed all new brake lines it needs a new front arb and more importantly.... the rear bushes are, quote '... the worst we have ever seen..' :( so they are very willing to take the car back to put the bushes in for me (love to do it myself but can't at the mo) but the problem is that they cant put new standard bushes in as its apparently too dificult but can put poly bushes in :? i have polybushes on the golf and it rattles my teeth out, can anyone please advise the best alternative to standard? I have Weitec Hicon GT's and now have Weitec front and rear arb's (on there way from G-werks atm 8) ) and i need the car to be compliant as i do 400+ miles a week cheers guys Andy
  20. yeti

    TT Comps

yeah just bash them in a bit for quickness or fit 5mm spacers on the rear
  21. sounds a bit like the problem i had on my mk3 8v when i got it, the throttle body's coked up so the valve doesnt open or close properly as it should, causign very irratic idling and the revs to drop dramiaticaly even stall when you pull up... the way i sorted it was to order a new tb gasket from vw, about £5 and buy a can of carb cleaner from a motor factors and whip your tb of and (wear rubber gloves cos the cleaners nasty!) empty pretty much the whole can of cleaner through the tb opening the vavle to ensure you get all areas and remove all dirt, allow to air try re fit and you should be better.... i cant remember if you might need your setrtings reset with vag com to re steady the idle then cos i think it remains slightly high?? hope that helps
  22. my feet dotn look like that  looks liek you did a good job on that x member... keep up the good work dude!
  23. got my raid dino from german ebay, very cheap at the time and excellent service :D
  24. look up kadvr6's car, he dyed them red but they are rover recaro's so they fit and look rather swish :-)
  25. i looked into this a while ago before the i fell out of love with the corrado... that may have recently changed though! lol when you look at the shape and size of them i just dont think they work with the rado rear seats (not a problem if you intend on stripping the rear i suppose) i decided on TT Quattro sports buckets or rs4 jobbies... i just dont like the alien shaped head bit! lol o the price variations (sounds like the ebay prices i saw) usually differ from reals to fakes, from a porshe breaker they're more expenvise but at leas they're real! o i presume you have recaro subframes for the C? (i know you do mark  ) o link to the thread i started if any help? http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=57179&st=0&sk=t&sd=a
