I'll clean the ISV tomorrow, see what difference that makes. I'll have a go at adjusting the timing too... No other symptoms, its great if you dont have to stop! Andy.

Mite have to take a trip up there next weekend then! If no one from here can help...

Hi all, Got a problem that seems to be getting worse. Car starts fine. When I stop (clutch down), the car seems to drop down to normal idle (1k) for a few seconds, then drops & cuts out. Sometimes the ECU saves it & brings it up to normal idle speed, but most of the time it will cut out. It started doing it a week ago, & its gradually got worse. The alternator on the car is a bit crap - 12v output when all the electrics are on. A new one is in the post. Would this be anything to do with it? Any help would be great. Many Thanks, Andy.

Are all the previous owners on here or something? lol I will look after her :) Just been up to Manchester today to pick up the RS4 wheels :) I'll be posting pics tomorrow! Cheers, Andy.

Or drivers side... Perhaps I have the arms the wrong way round?
-
Right, been out with my tape measure - both blades are the same size - 19" (48cm)... The drivers arm is 56cm & the passenger is 50cm... So if I bought another passenger side arm, it'll be ok? Cheers, Andy

lol, the credit is all yours! :) Looking at a set of 17"Audi RS4 replicas (in 4 stud) at the mo, for the summer 8)

Hi all, Fitted my lupo Wipers at the weekend... Got them sat just where I want them parked... However: Problem 1) Drivers wiper goes off the edge of the screen (pic1) Problem 2) Drivers wiper doesnt wipe far enough over (pic2) Problem 3) Drivers (& maybe passengers) one make nasty judder noises... Don't ask me what the parts they are - as they came un-fitted with the car... Looks like a Drivers & passenger arms though. Any pointers would be great! :) Thanks, Andy

Hi all, Washed & waxed the C today, the sun was shining so I thought I'd get some pics! This is Cazza's old valver - in case some of you think it looks familiar! Cheers, Andy.

Looking good :) I'm glad you bought the VR, so I could have your valver! : :multi:

Have you completely lost your sidelights when the headlight switch is in its "middle" position or is it switching on the dip beam? (like when the dim dip resistor was in circuit?) Andy.

Right - Topic posted now in Suppliers. Sorry for hi-jacking the thread Whitedog - Any more help you need, give me a shout :)

Hi All, Following a post in the Exterior section... After seeing how poor the quality of the ebay headlight looms at the moment. Being an electronics engineer by trade, I've decided to design & make some of my own. I'm still looking at all the possibilities at the moment so please bare with me. I aim to sell 3 versions: A "cheap" upgrade - like the ones seen on ebay, but cheaper & better quality - sleeved etc. These will come in at around £12-£13 each. A medium quality upgrade - using oem 4 way connectors - coming in around £25 - £30 (unless I can source the connectors else where) And last but not least I hope to develop a "plug & play" version. No cutting of cables required. Simply connect to battery. Unplug original loom, plug that loom into new loom, then plug new loom to headlights. Not sure how much this is likely to cost. I have sources to get connectors copied/made. But this would mean placing big orders with them to keep the costs down. I'll update this thread as I progress with my development. Posting pictures of prototypes etc. Could I ask people to add there name to an ongoing list of who wants what - that way I can see the numbers I'm dealing with. Also in later stages I will be asking people to "try out" the looms - By me sending them to you at a fraction of the normal price. All I ask is a small write up of how it went, what the problems were & what can be improved. This will be on first come, first served basis! Right... I better get researching! Andy. Note to mods - Hope I posted this in the right section
-
Ah, I assumed the headlights had H4 connectors... (Used to scirocco wiring). Only had my C for a few days! Just had a look - See what you mean about the 4 way connectors - Back to the drawing board! Andy.
-
My looms will be high quality. I wouldnt put anything on the market that wasnt. They will have proper H4 connectors, be sleeved & there will be an option for a 'plug & play' version for slightly more which will involve cutting no wires at all! I'm looking at pricing the normal ones at £15 & the "plug & play" ones at around £20. As I say a thread will be created. I don't intend to make much money from this at all. More of a hobby! :) Cheers, Andy.

Hope it all goes well! For those of you who are interested I will be creating a topic in the Suppliers forum detailing my product with price etc. Andy.

Yea, Was good thanx :) Got a real feel for her now... Any news on your VR? Andy.

Hi all, I have a different key for my drivers door... I have a load of spare scirocco locks hanging around. Just wondered if you can do this on a corrado?: http://www.sciroccoregister.co.uk/phpbb/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4603&highlight=locks Andy.
-
Well, I picked her up tonight! Love her already :) Thanks for the warm wlecome guys. Andy.
-
On sciroccos its located by the near side headlight. Theres a two way connector with two yellow wires coming out of it. Just disconnect the plug. Not sure on corrados yet - Pick mine up later! :) Andy.

Instructions! On the H4 connector that goes to the back of the headlight nearest the battery: •Probe around to find the dip beam wire (using a multi meter – Havent got my manual with me so don’t know what colour it is!). •Once found, cut in the wire. The end coming from the original loom, connect to pin 85 on the relay. (or marked “switch black/yellow”) •Connect the end going to the headlight bulb to pin 87. ( or marked “headlight”) •On the other headlight loom cut the same wire. Insulate using tape the end coming from the original loom. •The other end (going to the headlight bulb) connect to pin 87 - make sure it’s the same end as the other headlight. (or marked “headlight”) •Connect – earth to pin 86 on the relay. •Connect + battery live to 30 on the relay •Connect battery live to + on the battery •Connect battery earth to – on the battery. •Secure the fuse & relay. •Discount the dim-dip resistor It's similar to do than it sounds, trust me! Andy.
