Hi Guys, Sorry I havent been on for a while - been on my holidays & busy with work at the mo... Still slow progress - 2nd batch are waiting to be made :( Andy.
-
Hey steve, I should have a couple with me :) Andy.
-
Now that they are in production, no more than 2 months, if you are at the bottom of the list... Cheers.
-
Thanks for the feedback mate - it was a pleasure. See you at the next meet ;)
-
Many Thanks for finding out those links, but I'm afraid, only to 2 ways are available - I have contacted the supplier & they have never made a 4 way male :( A custom connector maker wanted a min order of 2000, so I had to give up... Your name is on the list for a 4 + 4 loom though. Thanks
-
Looks like a standard H3 bulb to me! Any motor store will do them...
-
One way of hiding the last letters of your number plate I suppose! Still prefer photoshop!

First small batch of 5 are going to be available for 29th April, which I will be taking with me to the bath/bristol meet... Reason is, I want to fit these myself, find any problems on the day & fix them on all future releases :) 2nd batch of around 10 will be available first 2 weeks of May. I have my own list of members - in order with version they want. I'll be sending out PMs to those people shortly. Many Thanks, Andy
-
Still know definate date on shipping I'm afraid - also you are at the bottom of the list so will have either the 2nd or 3rd batch ;) I will accept cheques, paypal, postal orders or cash if your local... & if your local fitting is included at local meets :D Heres a few a couple of pics I took the other day of the waterproof fuse holders to wet everyones appetite...

Hi all: Little update... I've finally got round to fitting one to my C... Results: Results taken with the engine running. Before - Across the bulb - Dipped beam - 10.71v - shocking! (MUST be measured across the bulb, not + on the bulb & - on the battery/chassis, as there is a voltage drop down the - line as well...) After - Across the bulb - Dipped beam - 13.20v. - Pretty much the charging voltage. Thats 2.49v gain, which drives the bulbs at the normal wattage. I will try & get hold hold of some data sheets for typical H4 bulbs - looking at volts vs wattage graphs. Last photo is my rough setup... Getting there... Cheers all, Andy.

Quick Update: I've just started to fit one to my C & encountered a problem - Some of the contacts I've been using are too small. I've spoken to my supplier & he is sending the correct ones. However these are double the cost, as a result I'm going to have to pass this cost on. Each loom will see an increase of £2.50. Cheers all, & thanks for your support. Andy.

Still deciding what sealant to use & I have been waiting for a delivery of relays... Will be this side of easter... Hopefully :? Andy.

Phil - Your names down ;) Supercharged - I have my diagrams that I have done, if your intrested? Havent got round to doing them on the software we have at work yet mind. Andy.

Yep, the 2 + 2 dipper does, as does the 4 + 4 all singing, all dancing one :) Maybe I'm just a perfectionist... I won't let anything go out the door that I'm not 100% happy with. For example - at the moment I'm looking at different sealants, to waterproof the OEM Connector... Andy.
-
All Singing, all dancing - 4 relay, 4 fuse - £42 ;) (Prices at the bottom of page 3) *Grumble* - Hoped to have these ready by now guys (& girls), sorry for the hold up... Andy.
-
"Good things come to those who wait" I am behind - I have the first batch, pretty much ready though. I want to install one on my C & a couple of local people's Cs as well. Make sure everything is perfect before I start shipping them all over the country/world ;) Andy.
-
Yep, for sure, I'll pm you soon ;) *********UPDATE************* The looms are finished, but I'm not quite happy with a couple of things... So I'll be altering these before they are sold. I'm going to be fitting one to my C at the weekend, so I'll be posting up some pictures then, if everything goes smoothly, They will be on sale monday. Thanks for your patience Andy.
-
Ok, so it's the end of the month & they aren't quite ready! I kinda forgot it was a short month! Early next week I'm aiming for ;) Cheers, Andy.

Get some 205's with rim protectors ;)

Lippy - Yea, I think I have gone abit over board with the spec. Thing is I already had a small base unit, but I was playing about with it the other nite & just takes a lifetime to do anything! - 300Mhz, So I thought sod it! S.G - Yea give us a shout, I'll post my solution when I have it. Going to be either running XP Media Center or Linux. coolrado - Shouldn't be a problem, what ATX spec does the 360 use? As in does it use all the outputs? - 3v3 & 5v? g60ff - Liking that a lot! Any pics of the brains? ;) Cheers, Andy.

Hi All, After looking at different sat nav products... I've decided to build myself an in-car-pc (known as a carputer!) That way I can choose my screen size, have sat nav, link it to my sound system - thousands of MP3's at the touch a screen! DVDs for my passengers, PDF manuals, ETOS etc on it... The possibilities are endless! Just bought myself a base unit: 3GHz, 1 GB of Ram, 120GB Hard drive etc... All in a small case - approx 32cm x 20cm x 17cm (D x W x H). Looking at a 8" touch screen. My company designs & builds power supplies, so powers not a problem - Custom 12V ATX :D I'll post as it develops, if anyone is interested... Anyone else got one? Cheers, Andy.
-
Hi, Yep will ship overseas ;) Andy.
-
Dead easy, but I don't want to rain on Andy's parade! I am happy to supply pics and wiring diagrams to anyone who wants to make one themself though. You wont be raining on anyones parade... At the end of the day I'm making next to nothing on these, the cost is almost all high quality materials. I have the time, know how & experience to make these looms... thats all. I'm not here to make a living, I'm here to sell a high quality product to fellow C enthusiasts... I am sick of the low quality looms selling on ebay (bar one seller who has recently appeared - link posted the other day) & wanted to do something about it... I'll happliy post my final circuit diagrams, even the BOM if anyone wants to know where I source my materials. Andy.
-
So are u interested in one then Cheesewire?! I agree with you in some sense - You can't really beat a solder joint, I am an electronics engineer... I am making these looms for ease of installation, tidiness & anyone can install then, with limited wiring/ electrical knowledge... Andy.
-
It's the shared looms that do that mate. By that I mean you have 2 relays and 2 fuses feeding both headlamps. One fuse blowing takes out the whole circuit. It's a cr@p way of doing it and dangerous. It's also the lazy and cheap way to do it as they just pick the OE plug that's closest to the battery to pull the low current feeds from. What you need is a proper L & R independant loom. Being as I am not a God of electrics...The way to make this is?? Or is this the type of loom we are all talking about here?[/quote:01fcc] The 4 relay, 4 fuse have independant runs, as does the 2 relay, 2 fuse Dip beam only...
