Thats not me... I think the guy who makes them is a member on here. It's not quite plug & play though that one - It uses OE connectors to go on the back of the headlights, but only offers crimp terminals when mating to the original loom. Cheers, Andy

Hi all, After some slow development, I'm still having problems sourcing the mating half plug for the OE connector (As appears on the actual headlight unit). I am still looking at different options to overcome this problem (Talking to different suppliers, custom connector makers etc). In the meantime I can supply the looms WITHOUT the mating half plug. The male contacts that mate with the OE connector will be provided. If/when the plug becomes available, you will be able to buy these off of me for around £5 a side. One solution for the time being is to remove the contacts from your original OE plug, Connect the mating male contact & heat shrink the contact (Heat shrink can be provided). Therefore no cutting & a waterproof joint. Or I am looking at making some sort of “jacket” for the connectors. Spec: OE connectors Fully water resistance, oil resistance, heat resistance. All cables are sleeved Fuse holder has waterproof cover, these also lock together, if more than fuse holder is used (dependant on loom spec). Full simple to follow instructions provided. These are serious high quality looms, no expense has been spared for materials. Loom options: 1 Relay, 1 fuse Dip beam only. This is the basic upgrade - Comes in at £33. 2 relay, 2 fuse dip beam only - one fuse & one relay for each side, ideal if you are happy with your current high beam. comes in at £39 2 relay, 2 fuse dip beam & high beam. 1 fuse/relay for dip beam, 1 fuse/relay for high beam. Again, £39. 4 relay, 4 fuse option - one fuse & one relay for each dip & high beam. comes in at £42. All prices don't include delivery. Please let me know your opinions on the options, prices etc. Please put your name down for the option. These will be made up before the end of feb. Cheers, Andy.

Hi Dave, I'll pm you some pics/info later on. Cheers :)

I've still having problems sourcing these... I've already done a lot of research, but if you could have a look, that would be great. The connector range is called "Junior-Power-Timer". All i can find is a 2 way ones or 4 way (inline) female ones at the moment. Tyco make this range. (Free loom if you can find a supplier ;) ) Cheers, Andy.

Hi all, Got a problem with the charging circuit. Engine stopped - 12.2V & the battery terminals. Engine running - 13.5V @ the alternator Engine running with full load (lights, fan, heated windows etc) - 12.2V @ the alternator Just changed the alternator & regulator for a 2nd hand one, no change. Battery's been swapped so it's not that... Any Suggestions? Cheers, Andy.

Fixed coolant leak - Damn Thermostat!

It is a bad earth yes - The outside of the bulb holder makes contact with headlight housing. I had problems with mine, so I removed the headlight & bent the contact back into place with a small screwdriver. Andy.

Excellent thread... Just ordered an Elora 20/22mm deep offset spanner for removing the top strut mount nuts. :)
-
It's running sweet as a nut now - still just needs the timing seeing to... I still think its partly a ride height issue - as it's slightly higher than it was on the 15s... It handled beautify with the old set-up! Ah well, I'll either have to get used to it or re-think the set-up... Andy.

Thanks for the advice guys... cheesewire - Reduced the tyre pressures from 36 to 32 & 30, seems a little better. Think I'm going to get a set of -60mm springs for it & get the alignment set up. Won't be for about month though! I'll do some measurements at the weekend - difference in the weights of the wheels, try & see the affect on the ride height etc Cheers, Andy.

The 15s were bridgestone potenza RE720 & the 17s are Toyo proxes T1-S... What sort of camber do people run? If any at all?

Hi all, Just swapped my 195/50/15 setup for 205/40/17 setup. Basically it doesnt seem to handle as well & a bit twitchy at high-ish speeds while cornering. It's on koni adjustables - lowered 40mm I think. What can I do to get my handling back? - Lower the car some more? (Change springs...?) - Adjust the damping? - Get an alignment done & get it set-up correctly? Any advice would be great :) Cheers, Andy.

Right - New pictures as promised!

Cleaned the ISV, problem seems to have gone away - fingers crossed! The timing does need seeing to at some point, an excuse to go up to Stealth, me thinks! Cheers for the pointers guys  Andy.
