Thought so, thanks!

Did the later Vr6's come with 288mm calipers then? If so, how do i tell?! Mine is a late vr...
-
The clicking could be the relays, if the battery is almost completely dead then you'll usually hear the realys clicking but there's not enough juice to turn the car over etc... Hope it goes alright!
-
I should imagine it'll be the same setup as a golf, so maybe look in the golf haynes manual for help...
-
the first pic is showing the pcv valve - vw want to sell you the whole intake part for lots of money, but the ford galaxy has the same part and ford sell you it for about £30 apparently (i need to get it too... ) check out this post: http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... ht=#633616 It also has the part number from ford too. I'm changing mine soon but it makes more noise when turning left suggesting the right one has gone but upon jacking the car up it's the passenger side one thats gone! Hopefully get access to a press next weekend to do it...
-
I think it depends, but if they've been out in the elements (sun then rain and cold etc...) then might not be very good to use...
-
They're not wires that some one has previously fitted for something like neons are they? Or do they come out of the abs wire casing..?
-
Thats fantastic! Thanks for the pic and info, the PCV valve is the one thats split on my VR6, i'll go get one! And from ford then! Or maybe a scrappy thats got a vr which hasn't split... (easier said than done!) Thanks again!
-
This sounds just like the thing i've just found split on my vr, could you show me a picture so that myself and others know exactly whether it's that bit or not? Cheers very much!
-
Well i've got a late interior thats not leather if you fancy a px?! 8)

I was tempted to get a loan out for my corrado but instead i saved up the extra cash, sold my car first and in the end got a cheaper one. Don't forget costs of maintenance and things going wrong, after all, they are 12 odd years old and silly things like coilpacks give up and then you have a £100 bill for the part alone. But i'm 22 and even though i'm paying quite a bit, i could get insured by quite a few people. And it's defo worth it, they're awesome cars!!!

Anyone made their own switchblade key with an OE immobiliser
KieranM replied to stormseeker's topic in Engine Bay
Could any one give any advise on how to get these apart?! Cheers!!! -
Just have to say i love that interior with the leather and alcantara! Looks sweet!!!

Modified Corrado VR or a Corrado VR in standard form??
KieranM replied to Bups's topic in General Car Chat
When i was looking to buy my corrado, i would have been prepared to pay a little bit more for a car with subtle mods such as stainless exhaust, lights, air filter etc but i ended up with a completly standard car for a cheap price. i think it all comes down to the buyers personal preference to what they're after when parting with they're cash! I still can't decide though whether to keep standard or modify. But i think the bug is going to hit me! -
Real shame dude, hope it goes ok for you, but they can't repay the time lost in not driving it or any inconvience to you! I'm sure i saw that car for sale on the TCS website last month or so (the wheels give it away) cos i was going to have a look at it before a closer one popped up near me which i ended up buying! Good luck!
-
And when they ring you asking "has the car got this...?" "has the car got that...?" Read the fricking advert you idiot! It's all in there!!! Or when they say they'll ring back to arrange a viewing... then you get no phone call to say sorry i can't make it... grr!!! Took me three months to sell my mint condition golf!!! It's all worth it in the end when you've got lots of money or a new car though!
-
yeah if your clutch goes then you can still drive it in the same way as above, the only thing is when you come to a stop then need to start again as you have to stall the car then start it in gear to get it moving!!!
-
It will go back into a gear (or anyother gear) whilst moving without the clutch pedal depressed - you just have to match the engine revs. There's no need to do it really though, and if you get it wrong it soon lets you (and everybody around) know by crunching loudly!!!
-
i've just got my first corrado vr6 and like you i've got a mini (but mine is in the garage at the mo) unfortunatly i'm too enthusiastic bout the corrado to work on the mini :( Both your mini and the corrado look really nice, really like the look of both of them! Inspires me to work more on my mini too!!! Good work!
-
Not sure bout the drive shaft but the car looks awesome! I really like silver corrados and the wheels and lights look great!!! Good luck with teh engine swap!
-
Looking sweet dude!!! Especially now as it's sitting lower!!! I think the wheels really suit it too!
-
Excellent, cheers for the info, i'll get one from vw then!!!
-
Wow, my first post! Just wandering if any body could help! I've got a Corrado VR6 and the oil temp doesn't display on the MFA - could this just be a worn oil temp sensor? If so, where abouts is it and roughly how much do they cost?! Any help/info would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!
