Wow, thought this car was immaculate, looks like it will be perfect when done. Top work Rich

Not sure if posted, but came accross this http://www.hbc.co.uk/cgi-bin/zyview/D=vehicles/V=bidding/R=4423117#ITEM IMAGE I am guessing looking at the door handle it is a stolen/recovered. Could be worth saving. Rich

just had a look through this what a nighmare for you. Have the Police asked for a Victim Personal Statement (VPS) from you?, if the haven't ask to do one or add to one you have already done! , really lay it on about the amount of emotional distress and trauma this has caused you and your Mum, the amount of financial cost to you (need car for work etc) and the amount of inconvenience. I am guessing his wife will say that he took the vehicle without her consent, it is the only way she can claim off HER insurance and avoid being prosecuted herself. The VPS should be read in Court to the magistrates/judge and should be used to aid sentencing, it is your chance to have your say about the scroat that did this to you. Good luck Rich.

Great news. Rich

I'm in the same situation, got a 16v and want a VR, probably spent about 3k over the last 3 years on the valver, I know if I sell it I will get very little. Not sure what to do,but the VR is an itch I know will need scratching sooner or later! Rich

Went surprisingly well, got a nice dry garage for the corrado!. If I can help with anything with the nugget, let me know. Rich

Just got back online after moving house, gutted for you Kip, really a lovely car, hope you can get it sorted. Rich
-
really envious of this one Kip, saw you parked on the one way system in Hoyland on Wed morning and wondered if you were on your way to view the nugget. If I could get more than about a tenner for mine or had space for 2 C's I would indulge in some nuggetness. Looks superb! Rich

I think holograms can be caused by poor use of polishing machines, think you might have to get the car machine polished by someone who knows what they are doing. You could try something like meguires scratch x which can be applied by hand, but it would be hard work. Have a look on Detailing World website, some knowledgeable people on there. Rich

Makes it a lot cheaper, think there are conditions- restricted mileage, garaged overnight, not used to travel to work. It costs me £110 to insure mine for 12m on classic policy, this is with a low mileage. Worth checking online, look in a classic car mag for companies. Rich

It is on the lower part of the dash-driver's side above your right knee when sitting it the driving seat. Rich

Well passed another MOT, same advisories as last time- bit of surface rust on brake lines where the clips hold them to the underside, and chip in the windscreen. So really pleased, however it is not that suprising given I have only done 400miles in the last year :cuckoo: Have done a few bits over the winter, new Rad, new fan surround, new pipes and replaced some clips and trim in the engine bay, and replaced the ignition switch........what fun that was!!. Was nice to drive it this morning, but you really notice how crap the roads are. Hope to use it a bit more this year, but am fancying a VR6 so need to make some decisions about whether to sell or mothball the valver. Still love it. :camp: Rich

Just changed my ignition switch- had no power to stereo and intermittent starting problems, don't waste your time trying to undo the screw to get the switch out, (read the threads on here), I spent 2 hours and knackered several screwdrivers trying to get mine out, in the end I pulled the end off the old switch with a pair of pliers- this gives easy access to the b*****d screw!. Incidently I could get the stereo to work if I "wiggled" the key in the ignition, you could try this , if it works it is likely the switch is the problem (no harm in changing it though) Rich.

Replaced the ignition switch, hammer, chisel and pipe pliers did the trick!!
-
Spent hours trying to get the ******* srew out to replace the ignition switch,...........and :epicfail: Will try tomorrow if I have any screwdrivers left.

If you are thinking of long term Corrado ownership, and I am guessing you are an "enthusiast" coming on this site-get a VR, I have a valver which I love but would like a VR. I have spent a fortune on the valver (which I will never get back) and now face the dilema of selling it for a fraction of what I have spent ( I suspect a few of the 16v owners on here are in the same boat). Buy a VR whilst they are good value, or at least drive a selection of VR's and valvers and then make your mind up. Rich.

It looks like one I looked at in the Rugby area, that was being sold by a forum member 3 or 4 years ago, had a bit of front end damage and had azev wheels. Can't remember the guys name, but he was really knowledgable and honest andthe car had loads of history. Will have a look around as I think I kept details of all the cars I looked at. Think the guy was jonny 5, sorry if I am feeding you duff info, but sure it was a 1990 16v. Rich
