  1. Hi, How much for a kit for both sides for a '94 VR? (Posted to Oxford) PM me with details! Thanks, Andy
  2. Hey, Had a look around but couldnt any reference to this so here goes: Fitted an 'uprated" loom I've had lying around for a bit last week. Initially I tested it to make sure everything worked and it seemed fine, lost side lights but dip and main beam behaved well. I then wrapped the connections in insulating tape and put everything back together again. \ Now when I turn my lights on all I have is main beam! pulling the stalk doesnt change anything, the little mainbeam light in the dash is permanently on! I took a look at the connections and they seem fine, I had a disconnect the main beam wire from each light as a quick-fix. Does anyone know what it might be? Headlight switch gone or indictator stalk? Andy
  3. That's me! What car were you in? I normally notice a few Rados going the other way on the toll bridge, seems like a good meeting place lol Drove 250 miles yesterday and didnt see a single C! :( Andy
  4. Now THAT spec list takes me back lol Looks mint! Andy
  5. Will be tackling the wishbones on mine tomorrow with any luck, got some r32 rear bushes to stick in, but the rest seems fine. Just wanted to confrim that I don't need a ball joint splitter to take the wishbone off? As far as I remember it's just the front and rear bolts to undo, then the three small bolts that attach to the balljoint and ARB? If I'm not messing with the track rods or ball joints will I still need to get the tracking done? Any advice would be great Thanks, Andy
  6. That was me! See quite a few different Cs around the Toll Bridge, I'm always either getting money ready or putting change away so never get the chance to wave!
  7. The second one would probs be me ( E* POL) I see quite a few around the toll bridge, and always try and wave! What were you driving? Andy
  8. I also managed to get the bypass done before work this morning :) Everything running fine now as far as I can tell. Would I be right in thinking, now that the pipes are disconnected from the matrix, I can still use the vents on the cold setting without any steam or bad stuff happening?
  9. Cheers mate, copper pipe will do I imagine?
  10. Doh! I'm pretty sure my Heater Matrix blew last night, Coolant Light came on, Windows steamed up and steam was slowly coming from the vents. Heater still worked on hot or cold though which was a suprise. I haven't got the internet at home right now, so wasn't sure how to fix it last night and rode to work this morning instead. Having had a little seach around I know I can just join the two pipes together that go into the matrix through the bulkhead using some 22mm pipe, I assume it is the two pipes in the photo below: http://media.corrado-club.ca/mods/image ... ore017.jpg Will any 22mm pipe do or does it need to be a U-bend or anything? If anyone has a picture of their engine bay with the matrix bypassed that'd be great! Thanks for any help, Andy
  11. Hey mate, That sound good to me, PM me payment details and watnot and i'll get payment sent however you want asap! Thanks, Andy
  12. Thanks guys, I was pretty suprised when I tried searching and only found 2-3 threads where this had happened. Normally when something goes wrong with the 'VR its fixes have already been comprehensively documented on here! I'll have a ring round some local places and see whether they can do it for me!
  13. Morning! So last night I'm driving along, minding my own business, avoiding 4x4 drivers here and there, when my car makes a bit of horrible noise then starts to sound like an old Beetle. Yikes! So we pull over at the nearest safe spot and take a look under the bonnet, after a bit of searching I found that one of the HT leads was dangling down with a spark plug in the end! ( Drivers side rear as you look at the engine). After a 2 hour wait in the freezing cold the RAC guy turned up and tried to screw it back in but I guess it had been loose for a while and the thread just span. Having had a look around it looks like a helicoil is going to be the best option, as I don't really want the head off just yet. I just wondered if anyone had any experience with fitting a helicoil to a VR6 engine, as it looks like access to this plug might be a bit restricted? Thanks, Andy
  14. Looks like a great car you've got there. Where about in Oxford are you?
  15. Enough of leaky hoses;Tell us more about Lambo racing team job! :cuckoo:
  16. Just got my lovely BMC. Only thing is that there was no mounting bracket included, does anyone know whether halfords do anything that might fit? I've emailed BMC to check anyways. Also, the filter has one end which is kinda squared off (into a diamond I guess) I take it this is the end furthest from the MAF? Andy
  17. Thanks David, I guess I'm just going to have to take the loom apart. It was an ebay jobbie, but is pretty good quality to be honest. I should mention that sometimes if I have the lights on dip beam, and then click them down to sidelights, everything goes off (blackness!) Is it possible my earth to the the battery isn't good enough?
  18. bump bump anyone?!
  19. Hey mate, can you PM me price and paypal details for 2 cans of black please :) Andy
  20. Apparently so, a couple of big jubilee clips too and should be sorted. Can't wait for mine to arrive now!
  21. Ok I've been meaning to fix this for a while and its MOT time soon so here goes.... I fitted an "uprated" loom for both dip and main beams, and lost my sidelights as others have. (I disconnected the dim-dip resistor before installing the loom so its definitely not that) The lights go to dip beam on both clicks, even with the keys out of the ignition. The main beams come on as they should too, so all the wiring must be correct in that respect. If I disconnect the uprated loom from the battery and then put sidelights on, they come on, so i know the bulbs are fine and headlight switch isnt broken. Basically I can't think what could be wrong as everything is wired in correctly. I read this in a thread somewhere: "Most guides forget to mention that you need to put a jumper wire in between the existing loom and the sidelight! " Could this be the problem? How do I do this bit!? Sorry for the questions but I just can't work out the problem! Andy
  22. If you ordered from GSF check that you got the correct hoses. I ordered 65803B, which is the correct hose, (on my car right now) but as my stored car details were Corrado, they sent me part 65803 which doesn't have the banjo fixing. I had to re-order the correct ones and put a note in saying to send me the dammed hoses that I'm ordering lol.
  23. Cheers Steve, just ordered the tubing ;) Andy
  24. Hey, I just bought one of these puppies off ebay real cheap ;) I just need to know the dimensions of the piping I'll need to connect to the MAF? Any ideas where to get some or has anyone got any spare? *EDIT* Would this work or is it a bit too short? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SILICON-HOSE-STRAIGHT-COUPLER-80MM-UK-STOCK-SILICONE-R_W0QQitemZ370027442792QQihZ024QQcategoryZ72205QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQ_trksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem Thanks, Andy
  25. The difference between Gary and Dave is phenominal! I order stuff via email from dave, and he always replies to say he received the order and gives me a date it will be in. Gary doesnt reply even if you send him a few emails to check, and doesn't let you know when stuff is in. Maybe we are just spoilt by Daves greatness!
