:salute: , same here at he moment. -
You cans see the holes for the rear badge. Price hike but I dont think its dodgy.
-
Looks great, only thing Id do is change the rear badge. Red looks a bit out of place IMO.
-
Speedflow again was it for the hard line?
-
Wow racing in a built up area, your my hero!!!!!
-
Mmm, tested the line with water and its just perculating through the top section. Obviously the heat has gotten to it. Could use the stuff in link below that over the first 4-5in then have a braided flexi to fit to the sump... seems feasible. http://www.speedflowshop.co.uk/versatub ... -171-c.asp

Nice. What are folk using for thier oil return lines? Got everything back on today and went for a run but once at temp the oil return line is leaking at the top end beside the turbo. Currently its a -10 AN braided line that had a heat sleeve on it.

This the adjuster you get with RLTC6A & RLTC6AL (Launch button non functional with RLTC6A) climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfmanual-adjuster.jpg[/attachment:m37fzegf] This is the Digital display / adjuster you get with RLTC6DIA 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfAdjuster-2-web.gif[/attachment:m37fzegf] Screens-Colour-th.jpg[/attachment:m37fzegf] All systems adjustable whilst on the move So with the 6DIA do you get all the adjustement shown? Is the rpm level set on the 6AL and can that be adjusted? -

Wheel speed sensor? -
Yep, brand new turbo gone in less than 150miles. You can imagine my reaction when I first took the airfilter off and saw the damage. I almost cried to be honest then as soon as the oil return pipe came off and it was dry I knew something was not right. It was all through GT3turbo and to be fair to the guy he was good at getting the money back. Not all of it mind you. He even asked if I wanted a replacement restrictor from them, you can imagine my response!!!
-
Aye its good, only managed about 4-500mile in it so far. Thats the turbo back today from AET. Should get it fitted this weekend. Double and triple checking everything before it goes on. just goes to show you how good these turbo's are, that was about 140miles with zero oil  .

Whats the difference with option two and three? Is two only adjustable when stationary? -
Well the issue is now sorted. Basically the restrictor fitting I was supplied had not been drilled all the way through. You can imagine what that did to the turbo. In hindsight I should have checked everything before it went on but to be honest I never would have thought something as simple as that could be manufactured wrong. Little battle with the supplier but they came good this week and have paid for the repair. Just recieved the turbo back. Full new core needed. New paper weight shown below.

Im sure I asked when he put the photo up and they are spaced to fill the arches. Not a fan of spacers so I doubt Id be buying a set now tbh. They would look lost in my arches. Im liking the ATS DTC wheels and there meant to be light. Looks like they would have plenty of clearance as well. There is also the DTM wheel they used to do. http://www.pro-track.de/bmwe30racing/00 ... b/l012.jpg

What about ATS wheels? http://atsmotorsport.de/ats/index.php?o ... &Itemid=40

Ive totoally missed this thread, good job. If I stop racing the bikes Id live to do this. Who did the cage for you? Would look great with some tinted headlamp protectors. Ive got a pair lying about if your interested.
-
So thats a set of Speedlines and some traction control please!!!! Where's that bank managers phone number........ IIRC they are 7in only guys.

Timeless wheels. Always look great. They are spot on for the car. -
Man I love the look of the 5 spoke on the Corrado. Its just so perfect. I swithered beteen the MO's and TH2's when I got mine after seeing that red one. Ive had 8in wide on mine with ET35 and they were fine, were pretty much flush with the front. ET30 and above is when they start poking from what Ive seen. I may be interested in the group buy as Ive always loved the Speedlines. See below. 8in ET35 on the compo's. 8in ET30 on the LM reps.

Its basically a grand with launch control installed.
-
Do it do it do it do it!!!!
-
I still think electricity is witchcraft so I doubt I'll be doing it myself.
-
I read that with an ever increasing beaming smile. You should get a job selling Racelogic. Im going to have to get it now purely for the comedy moments like you described. Any ideas on how long to install?
-
Would agree with that. On the original topic though, a diesel is still a tractor engine to me. They are good at what they do but I bloody hate the noise / power delivery. Couldnt see me ever putting one in a Corrado.
-
See i think thats what PSI do with the engine mounts but they still use the "hybrid" Mk4 / Corrado downpipe. This was one of the reasons I did not install the Gemini box as it led to the engine tilting to the drivers side and ultimately there was potential of not fully lubricating the two shaft bearings on the new box.
