Ok the cars still not back together but thinking about next steps for the car that I can look to do over the winter. Some JE piston have cropped up. Is it worth fitting these on there own or do they only really come into play with forged rods as well? Basically just wondering what the stock rods can take safely?

Do you have a set route for the Thr? Just thinking its not that far if you go straight from Braemar to Blair then Dundee. I could take you through Kirriemuir (my home town) where JM Barrie was born (& Bon Scott) then Glamis Castle is only 5 miles on from there. Is ts not hugely exciting but it would fill the day a bit more. -

Nice boring fact for you, every railway bridge in the country is numbered except the Forth rail bridge. Its simply known as "the bridge". -
Last shot looks amazing. They are bloody nice wheels. One of the few I would think about running in place of mine.

I need to find my brochure, but Im pretty sure it was £2500  for leather electric heated Recaros Bloody hell, I sold mine for £650.
-
Or the case is that when ever someone ordered leather the heated option was not much more so most got that as well.
-
Not really a massive fan of yellow cars in general but nugget just seems to look so right. Good work so far.
-
A mix. I think all were electric but only some were heated.

Didnt get the bike today as there was a problem, not sure I want it now as one of my mates was killed on his on Wed, :( . The guy that bought my old car came round to buy the all reds, man I miss that car. Good news is he is loving it. Couldnt work on the car this weekend as still waiting on hoses etc and the fabricator has the turbo etc. Been thinking of putting rubbing trips back on and maybe putting the side repeaters back in place. What do you think?

Moving fast. Worth the wait.

There about the same as most aftermarket wheels I found in terms of weight. Obviosuly the like of BBS, OZ are lighter but I didnt notice a huge difference. Remember my arches have been pulled out so there a bit more room. Standard arches I would stick with 8in, Et30 on back and ET35 front.
-
8.5in max, personally Id go with 8in all round. I had the 9in rear on mine and the edge of the rim still poked past the arch. Thats with an ET of 22. The lips are fookin expensive as well especially if you go with stainless.

Make sure the camera is ready to go. Im suppose to be getting the bits for my car by the end of next week so if I get a full weekend to work on it I might still make the Thr. -
Cool, local silver one has come up for sale close to me as well for about £700, very tempted.
-
ZW1's are two piece. The barrel and face are one section, its the rim that alters the width. Measure the distance from the bead to bead and thats the width. They looks to all be 8in, is that what they should be?
-
The head was quiet when I had it. Could it have been something that Agra did? Did they put in new tappets etc?
-
Cheers for that. Looks like I'll save up for that as well as the TC and maybe a Stealth map once its up and running.
-
Nice, whats the spec on the wheels? What boost controller are you using?

This is looking very unlikely, car wont be ready I reckon. -
Done by previous owner.

To be honest its a total love hate thing. I didnt think it would come but these things are sent to try us. It will probably take 5min to put it all back together now. Im dreading the first start up, paraniod as hell now about every little aspect. Even been wriiting little checklists to go through as Im getting it back together.

Thats the stuff I just bought for a turbo sheild. Its fairly malleable as well.
