Which of the two would be easier to get hold of again? That would make my decision. If it were me Id keep the VR but thats only due to the colour.

Brake pad choice (Time critical, fitting this afternoon)

Used them a few times and they just subcontract to the like of Citylink. Some cardboard and bags is all you need, in fact they would probably prefer that as its easier for them to handle. They are quite quick as well.

Not sure about getting away from the one on the right TBH. Just shows what a small car the Corrado is.

You have good taste in music sir. Have you heard the Loadstar remix of this? http://www.mrtzcmp3.net/Chase__Blind_Fa ... x__1s.html

Dont think this would look good if Im honest, too new. Dont really see the point in fitting it if you cannot use the buttons either. Sell it on and use the money for something more suited to the car.

Set of brand new 8x17in 1.2's on ebay, put a bid in of £220 and left it thinking they would sell for £300+. Missed them by £5  . Oh well, just spending money I dont have. Got this today, will get the flanges welded on and get it fitted. Better last longer than the old one. I also lost all my personal photos when the hard drive crapped out on my computer so have been going through threads all week to find what I can. Found the photo below on someone elses thread. I think it looks right at home. Will be there again in 7days time  . Week off work so Im doing the oil and filter, exhaust off again to rejig it, get new front wheels on, redo alignment, fit new wipers and wash system and probably a few other things and fit a towbar to the Mk5. I think the wheels will be staying silver now.

Ive got a thing for flocked dashes at the moment. Looks good. Never really understood replacing the standard seats as they do a good enough job IMO.

 , joking of course. I would never condone that, it would be a waste of ammunition ;) .

Shoot it.

Still managed to get a C in the photo I see. I think the stigma with these has gone now. They are some nice examples going about.

Weird, they wouldnt touch quote me when I had the 24v.

I'll be honest unless I know the guy working on my car I wouldnt take a car as old as the Corrado to the main dealers. There have been many discussions about keeping a VW service history and almost everyone said that it is not that important anymore. The dealers are basically only interetsed in new cars and trying to get money from you from additional items that are apparently needing replaced. If your prepaired to pay the £80+ an hour labour then fair enough but these cars dont need specialist treatment, any good garage should be able to work on them. Just my 2p.

Stunning. I love the wheels but could be bothered having to clean them.

Bit the bullet and ordered the two 7.5in wheels as they said they could get them to me before next Sat. Bloody expensive month for me again as I just picked these up from the post office. Went out to take a photo of the pothole but its been filled in so thats my claim scuppered :( .

You cannot compare the two, it should me more like RS4 vs VRT.
-
MPG vs performance its not worth it IMO.

They seem to share the pads across a few of there deisgns from what I found out recently. They are quite tricky to get pads for though. this might help - http://www.wilwood.com/Calipers/CaliperListLanding.aspx
