  1. How are folks getting round the standard inlet manifold when increasing the boost on the 24v models? I wouldnt like to use the plastic manifold knowing how much it flexes as standard.
  2. Would be ok with some wheels that fitted and a slightly smaller exhaust. I bet it "saunds" great
  3. Hate to say it but if they insist on new bumper it will probably be written off depedning on what you have it insured for. IIRC the rears are about £600 from VW and there are no pattern parts as far as I know. If it wasnt your fault then you can insist on it being repaired cant you?
  4. See Im having opposite thoughts again. Maybe if I had done most of the work on the car Id think differently but I just feel like I have no where to go with the car. Theres not really anything left to do on it.
  5. Are they direct fit onto the hub or are there adaptors involved? Sorry for all the questions but they look great. Most likely forged items then so well worth holding onto.
  6. Well done. Are those wheels from a GTO? Never seen them on a Corrado before.

Rallye's are nice but they rust in the same places if not more than the Mk2 epsecially the sill's which are no longer available. TBH the only Rallye Id ever want to own is Mr Manson's which is currently in for paint and as far as I know he is planning on getting it ready for Inters this year. Now that is a beast!!!! Pretty much, broke it up with a long screw driver then whacked it out with a long metal bar. It was only about 3in long.
  9. My wishbones are sitting level if not slightly down. Ive found the car fine so far but I have adjustable damping as well soIve played around to get a nice setting. Did understeer in the wet mind you. Best idea would be rolling the arches to start with then trying the car if it were me.
  10. Yeah he had a bad time with the one he owned and ever since then has not taken to them.
  11. I put Martin onto that car so do I get some good Karma!! Its always good getting bits, get them fitted ASAP though as if your like me they will just lie about and never get fitted.
  12. Some people like subtle cars. The Megane isnt ugly but its too messy. Its over desgined if you ask me but then Im a function over form type of person. To many cuts and shapes that dont need to be there. Look at them again in say 5yrs and I'll bet the Megane has dated a lot quicker than the Rocco.
  13. Thats not a long drive. Just the usual fluids checks then drive it. It will probably do it some good.
  14. Funny you should say that. I was in Holland last year with our departments Global Sales manager and whilst we were out for dinner one evening he started telling us about a sideline project he was working on that uses this very principal to power the cars. He had even presented the idea to congress and had secured impressive funding for it. We quizzed him for the next half an hour or so on all the little asepcts and how we though it wouldnt woprk and he had a good answer for everyone. No batteries, fuel cells etc and the cars would all run on GPS so they could travel at high speed feet from each other cutting travels times and negating a lot of flights. Freight could be loaded onto GPS controlled pallet trucks and be a lot more flexible and quicker. There were so many things that just made sense. The only drawback is the required investment in the infrastructure. This is all from a senior guy in one of the biggest oil services firms in the world. This has to happen at some point.
  15. Just shows some people do not learn. He should not be allowed a license ever again. Imagine if that had been someone on a bike. I would have been up on a murder charge if it had been me that was hit. At least you and your family are not badly hurt.
  16. Mk2 rear bumper, are you fitting that??
  17. I believe you, I just couldnt do that. I get bored after 13months!!!
  18. Would love to help but I dont know anyone with one.
  19. Sorry to but in here but could you post up photos of the washer jet set up please including the pipes etc.
  20. Most likely then, I know the owner of the company where it sits like his exotica. I think he had a 458 but wrote it off tailend of last year so this could be the replacement.
  21. Is there a special edition of of the 599 as I saw one today in Aberdeen with a black top section and different wheels?

Car fixed and running well, managed to get a decent run and its definitely pulling a lot smoother than before the CAT material was removed. It had started to feel like it had a very slight mifire so that might have been why. Back on the same RR on the 22nd so I will find out. The wheels are needing redone as theres quite a lot of paint chips. One thing to watch for from you other guys with the Compo's. Im thinking of matt black / satin after finding this photo below either that or do them all matt or sand back the face to silver. At least it should hide the dirt better!! Oh and those with the MO's looking for flat caps I found these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT Thought they might work.
  23. The wood can be sorted for £10, both the 4mo's Ive had I just sprayed it gloss black and it looked fine.
  24. Dont do it, only Mk4's worth having are the V6's or the Tdi's.
