Sorry strips have gone. i take it as they havent sold through your for sale thread they sold to the guy above. i guess thats the downside of the no pm rule.. people can butt in on your thread. how disappointing. Your correct they didn't sell through my for sale thread they sold to the guy above. I noticed you came onto this forum many times after I posted and either you didn't check this thread or didn't reply so where offered to the guy above who had bought/collected many parts from me. Not the guy aboves fault or the forums on this occasion.

I fitted a Magnex cat back system to my 93 VR6 a fortnight ago and it was a perfect fit. Rear box sits perfectly and looks just like a factory fit. Had a Miltek system on my old G60 and that was also extreamly well made and again was a very good and easy fit.

I ended up buying a RE2100 Club Sport and one magazine test it was featured in lists the cc at 2058 with 84mm pistons. Max power and torque both at 6000rpm but it goes on to rev past 7000rpm. Top speed is 140mph (19.9mph per 1000rpm). TSR did a 2.1 conversion (I owned one of these) but it was not in the same league as GTi Engineering.
-
A bit slow I know but just noticed this post. Gti Engineering did an RE2000 16v conversion that is a 2ltr but the also did a RE2100 16v Club sport that was 2.1ltr. These are very rare as they cost a fortune. I only know of two and one of these was their demo.

I've been lucky enough to own all three. I first had a three year old Black 944S2 and loved how smooth the engine was, I then had a Red 944 Turbo and this really was a well sorted car with so much useable power that just kept on pulling and pulling. I loved the way the doors closed with such a reasuring clunk, they felt so heavy but the car drove like it was half its weight. The build quality of these cars is superb but after owning the Turbo for three years while selling VW's as a business I felt a bit of a traitor so I looked around at what else would suit the bill and ended up with a VR6 Corrado. I wasn't expecting it to be as refined but it was close and I was very impressed. I've since owned about ten Corrado's and still have two (a VR6 and a 2ltr GTi Engineering 16v). If I could find another good 944 Turbo in my favorite colour (cobalt blue) then I'd be interested but it would have to be good for me to let go of the VR6. The best way of describing them is that they are like a rear wheel drive version of a Corrado VR6 with a little bit more build quality and bigger bills when they go wrong.

Managed to get Tetrosyls direct equivelant to Tiger seal, its Joint sealer CJS310 and its a polyurethane adhesive sealent. A few quid cheaper too. I cleaned all the old sealant of the lense with washing up liquid & warm water on a scotch brite pad ( a bit like a pan scrubber) then left it by a radiator to fully dry out. I put the sealant in the housing and placed the warm lense on top. The results are excellent. Thanks for your help and advice guys, this saved a lot of money over the cost of buying a new foglight.

Got the lenses off no problem but strugling to get some tigerseal. Rollins have run out but have some due in later in the week. Does anyone know of an alternative or is it only tigerseal that is upto the job.
-
Coolrado, will get some tigerseal from Rollins later and spend some time to take them apart. Danvw, I already have a good lense on the car its just the original backing thats discoloured. If I break it getting off at least I have another option. Cheers Guys Hacksaw the damaged backing in a few places and then remove the bits from the lens, and break the knackered lens from the good backing bit by bit. I would use tigerseal (can get it from rollins in wrexham) to bond the lens back on as its designed for sticking windscreens back in so it bonds very well to glass and sets in about 20 minutes and you can get it in grey, white or black. It depends what type of seam sealer it is though as some are a non setting mastic type which wont work, some go brittle when they get hot and others are a polyurethane adhesive similar to tigerseal.

I have the same problem of having to remove a damaged lense from a good backing and a good lense from a damaged backing to make one good light. Does anyone know if there are any easier ways of doing this or do I just need lots of patience? I've also heard its best to use seam sealer and not silicon to fix the lense back in, does this sound right?
