see MS II router board and general purpose I/o board. Apparently it is imminent. It will support among other things EGT's. -
agreed. Knock sensor reacts to detonation signature no matter what the fuel/map/rpm condition is.

this was the most sedate thread on here with the odd pic of a manifold here and a pulley there. What happned? :lol: Is anyone on here actually building a 16v FI engine????????????????

I ask because of have been wondering when is there a call for using colder plugs. For example your engine is now aprox 60 bhp more than standard. Would it not benefit from a colder plug? Has anyone done so in a modded g60,or indeed any car that has had significant mods done? Just curious is all. :wink:

Exactly, I'm in no rush to strap a magnesium grenade to the front of my engine with a pulley far too small. /stops stiring..... Too late. I know where you live. don't make me wake up the gimp.

:lol: Well this is high octane stuff. I don't want to get personal I don't want to say anything on a forum that I wouldn't say straight to someones face. The only thing that annoys me is the idea that I maybe somewhat deluded in terms of what I might be getting from choosing a certain package. I would never agrue that a supercharger is going to give you better out and out power than a turbo and I probably will go down that road myself oneday.However right now I am happy chasing modest power from my G. I really don't need to see any light. It hurts my eyes,they're sensitive. :camp:

you may have a problem with that if you have the old style g60 pump which has since been superceded with the same one found in the VR. The senders can't be transposed and I'm not sure VW sell the old ones aymore.. check the wiring for good continuity 1st anyway.

one of my favourite things about CF is that it makes it easy to upload pics,i.e not havig to use photobucket etc.

The plastic pipes by the battery down to the intercooler is not split is it? This is a common place for a pipe to corrode. Mine was split there.

It's not too hard to understand in principle but things tend to move about while your setting it up. If you're a perfectionist you will go insane trying to do it properly. :)
