not so sure pal but mine isnt cooking the oil it just burst the water pipe and has been ok since getting new pipe after all they are rubber and do goe!! will watch and post up my oil temp tomoz is there any oil leaks anywere??? or any other signs of oil getting rwally hot ie steam comeing from dipstick or rocker cover gasket were you fill it up with oil?? simply is there any back pressure???

vw recommend platinum tip though for vr6??? scoobys are the strongest of em are they they and i have had 3!!! olny sold mine due to finances and really wanted another vr6 just love the sound of em not really bothered about me being one of lowest figures on day, its for charity plus its on the road were it counts!!! cheers for help guys may have to get an order in for one of them tools!!

which skyline did you have?? i have just gone from a sti type r running around 340bhp to a vr6, type r did around 15 mpg were as vr6 does at least 32 on average, vr6 will keep up with a gts no problem yet return way more mpg due to weight differance imho i would go for vr6 most i have seen on mine was 44mpg doing a constant 55mph oh and you dont have to worry about it be 99plus ron and octane booster and getting it mapped!!!
