I know of another g60 with serious engine mods (turbo conv etc) and no back seats but dont think it gets driven much so never see it. :shocked!: Hehe I'm another local, no raddo though, from Lanark! I know the C turbo you are talking about, Martin Peter's car, ex G60 converted by Bedrock, not seen Martin for over a year, last I herad the C was accident damaged and was just using his company Golf! Shame really as that was a real nice car, and Martin is a good guy! Alan

Well impressed with my figures considering its completely standard and should be doing 150bhp :) DIN 161.5bhp Wheels 116.5bhp Torque 163 lbf-ft Alan Edited with exact figures!

  12. A G40 would be a perfect 2nd car :D , they are so much fun, I don't think anyone would not buy one if they drove a good one 8) Alan
  13. Polo GTI, too slow! Corrado G60, needed too much work. BMW E36 328 sport, my bro loves bm's and was him who wanted me too buy it  told him to buy one if he wanted one so bad lol Just bought a 2000 W plate Golf GTI turbo, to keep the G40 compnay, shame I only have a single car garage:P  Alan

  15. Hey John, I thought I'd leave it a while before I posted some pics of the winning car, so not to rub salt into the wounds. 8) I have them in Hi Res if you want them for your PC wallpaper lol The RR day will be fun, just rember though, I'll be scoring not on highest out put by power to cc ratio Alan
  16. I run the pitstop pulleys on my G40, and they rule, pure and simple. Big thanks and big love to the smooth pimp that is Beavis! 8) Alan
  17. Yo Danger Mouse. nice looking car :) If you are looking for a good painter, speak to Joe McEwan in Cambuslang, just behind Skot Kart, he painted my car and does a lot of work for my dads garage. He will do a real nice job. His number is 0141 641 7836 Don't suposse you have any pics of your old Golf as it sounded familiar when you advertised it on here. Did you buy it from Verve Glasgow by any chance? Alan
  18. I have the Focal KX series 6.5"s plus tweeter, and they are really good, but they have huge magnets and need good power to drive them. Expensive too but worth it if you are into your sounds. Alan
  19. Yo Biggrim, I had my G40 resprayed by Joe @ McEwan Coachworks in Cambuslang, just behind Scot Kart. He made an excellent job of it and was very reasonable. My dad has known him for years. Here some pics. Not great photos but you get the idea. Alan
  20. Can some measure the length of the wiper arms from the Lupo GTI, both driver and a passenger. I am going to carry out this to my G40 but I am still unsure of the sides that I need, I'd imagine its the shortest of the 2 I need? So what one would that be? Cheers Alan
  21. I have my Polo G40 and my Polo CL. On one side there is a mk4 Golf TDI and on the other there is a Lupo sport TDI. Hopefully soon there will be a Corrado G60 in my driveway too. :D Alan
  22. Cool keep the G. You will miss it, I want to get a G60 for everyday and keep the G40 for shows and track days too. Alan
  23. Hehehe Imagine seeing Paul over here. Seems like we have similar ideas. :D Alan
  24. There is 3 pipes under the access panel under the rear seat. The filler neck has a rubber boot to keep dirt etc out, it has a wire ring to hold the boot in place. All nice and simple. Alan
  25. Yes I have done it too both my polo's, its pretty simple really, you will need to either remove the back box or just lower it down off the hanger and support it. The axel stays in situ. Straight forward really. Buy a good quality tank though pattern ones are shit and the filler neck won't sit in the right place. Genuine VAG one is about £100. Its only 1 hours work on lift or more if done on the drive way on axel stands. A wee coat of waxoyl under the tank wouldn't go a miss whilst its out. Good Luck Alan
