  1. I'm surprised Mr.Haywire that you of all people would put someone else's opinion of you in front of the well being of your machine :nono:
  2. No way this is ultimate 80's/90's unadulterated filth......
  3. Blimmey mate your asking for a few digs posting that kind of honestly on here  ......I cannot say anything though as I did the same to my 50cc Vespa - although that only cost me £250 for a fitted new engine :)
  4. Welcome back, theres a few track corrado's on here now.
  5. its precisely that for me, just remember watching 190's and M3's racing around in the DTM on Eurosport.......what about the wide body Alfa 155 :luvlove:
  6. I’d consider swapping the VR6 to a black 190E 2.5-16 (one of the cars on my ‘realistic-next-car-list’), but would that be madness? :D I had a 190E 2.3-16 and to be honest I wouldnt swap my C for it.....dont get me wrong the Merc was lovely, but I always felt it was at odds with itself......the engine is a beaut and when pushed will shift but your never quite sure weather you are driving a sports car or big tourer as it feels reasonably big and heavy !! Rear wheel drive is nice though, seating four pretty comfortably is bonus and they are built like brick out houses ..... would imagine finding good one now is difficult though.
  7. Yeah last nights episode was good, liked the £5k challenge - although used to have 190 cossie and there is no way in hell you could get it into reverse without knowing it, as May was doing, as you have to lift and push the stick miles to the left - but as someone has said before I'm coming to terms with TG being entertainment more than anything else now !! I love the 911 classic, complete rip off but great.
  8. Thats exactly what I was thinking - sort of mutant Saab :pukeright:
  9. come on this has come up before tell us why he was banned !!
  10. .....thats not free you have to buy the bulb :D ......best free mod is cutting off rubber roof strips, most corrados at this age are perished and look terrible but taking them off cleans up the roof line again
  11. Yeah he said he was suppose to be seeing someone else but cancelled
  12. Just had Andy fit myn as well......as above, cant go wrong using this guy.
  13. Right had Andy from Trim wizard fit a cobra alarm yesterday.......thanks for the recommendation everyone, he is a very nice bloke and done a very neat and tidy job. :salute: :salute:
  14. I like the way the corrado spolier is completely hidden when down but it also kind of works on the Vento as the arms look like fixed supporting struts.
  15. Impressed with the vento, considering its come straight off another car it suits it well.
  16. Well it could be your gauge giving a duff reading but if I were you I would defo start looking into this......dont mean to put a dampener on proceedings as you are obviously enjoying it at the moment, it would just be a shame if you have bigger problems later on by ignoring temps now !! Someone on here should be able to give you better advise than me on where to start looking though :)
  17. Just read your thread and glad you have got it back on the round now fella......although you probably realise I thought I would mention that unless your gauge is buggered, 110 is defo a bit too hot. Happy driving though.
  18. Don't do it mate you will bugger up the spring rate which is NOT good. It may make the car look better but it will make you not want to drive the thing.....I'm pretty sure its actually dangerous as well.
  19. forgot to check post yesterday :brickwall: , thanks John that would be great if you are passing. I'm in the showroom 90% of the time so if you don't mind dropping it round that would be great  Thanks BILLCOR as well
  20. Hi all  The circular rubber seal between my ariel and roof has perished and come off...... can you buy these from the stealers ? Thought about siliconing it up in black, but to be honest I dont think I could get a decent finish considering the slightly akward angle.
  21. Had a feeling this might have not passed under your radar considering the rest of the restoration :D keep up the good work fella.
  22. Mate this is a great restoration, well done :salute: Engine bay is looking good, but small observation, it looks like your missing a screw for the rad hanger on the left hand side  ? Leather restoration is mint as well, this will sound strange but I always think that the cream leather ages badly but when mint looks amazing :notworthy:
  23. Lucky man, glad you had a good one :) ......I absolutely love the R8, unfortunately the rado is as close as I'm ever gonna get and lets be honest thats not particularly close despite some of the comments on the CF :(
  24. That would do my nut in having such a practical car and then having to drive it tentitively  Anyway, good luck with it, looks cool enough !
  25. .....Yeah I thought it was something like that as well, but defo dont quote me on that either :) .......James ??
