.....damm I knew you was going to ask something obvious like that and I knew I wouldn't remember  .........errrrrmmm I'm 80% sure I put it in with fans off and fitted after, don't think there is enough room to maneuver the rad in the correct position with fans attached. Looking back I would say that if its your last resort do it this way then fine, but in all honestly if I were doing it again I would remove the slam panel and bumper. EDIT :  the time it took me to remember your onto the next question :D
  2. .....ahhhh we must put together that special order 16 inch speedline group buy.......if anyone could be arsed to organise it I'm sure there would be a lot of us willing to jump on the band wagon  .......cant remember who has them on here but they look spot on IMO.

Yup but it was a few years ago so I would be scratching my head to give you any detailed description......but if your asking if its possible then your answer is YES !! From what I remember removing the battery made life much easier. EDIT : I just assumed your meant for a VR ?
  4. I like your pipe :D ......from that angle it looks spot on. personally I like the speedies but each to there own, looking good sir :salute:
  5. ........like all the best drivers over the past 20 years surely :) I thought Lewis had a very strong race again.
  6. .....a couple of 1/4 mile standing starts and blasts :ignore: ......sorry couldn't resist :) !! when my Alfa came back with 72 miles on the clock I went chicken oriental :bad-words:
  7. Sorry Pupkin 10, I say this in the most unargumentitive way but is 3.8 miles on the clock really that bad  ........I thought you was going to say something like 50 odd miles - this is what I found on my Alfa after a service :mad2: .......count yourself lucky you dont have to go to Alfa dealerships mate  !!
  8. I understand what you are saying but that is a bit of an odd comparison IMO......the only thing you can compare is the price - but then again 'Eric' must have put more than £9K into that corrado surely  !! That kind of extreme change doesnt interest me much - even if I did have the cash or skills - dont get me wrong I'm not knocking it but personally I think it deviates too far from the car that I love......thats why I think Jay's conversion would be more appealing to more people, it would be a big 'investment' but one that I think would be worth it to get a modern corrado. Good luck with it Jay if you decide to offer it :)
  9. That is so nice mate, I love S3's ...... thats it I'm going on PH :)
  10. Not if you get a GTV V6 you wont. I owned one of these but refuse to comment on anything thats not a Corrado due to being labelled a Troll by one of the mods on here previously... yep, the VR is a great engine, but the Alfa V6 is on another level - sooo much more power low down and screams onto 7000 with ease......the GTV V6 is really all about the engine !!
  11. I've had a few conversations on the CF about GTV's......I have a GTV 3.0 Cup since new and its been a bit up and down - put it this way, when everything is right (including the road) its awesome : lovely engine when on song, long throw but satisfying box and strong brakes - however my main problem with it is the build quality, it just feels very flimsy i.e. I was pretty disappointed to have a collapsed seat side bolster go on my'n within 3 years of ownership !!! Even so despite this I have owned it now for ten years and don't see myself selling it :) - suppose that says it all really. EDIT : oh and it does suffer quite a bit of torque steer - makes progress more entertaining though.
  12. Spotted Dark Blue VR number plate VRS .... on sunday midday on London South Circular past West Dulwich - not sure if you spotted the lunatic on the other side of the road in a blue Polo waving :D Looked mint from where I was :salute:
  13. WHAT......its absolutely stunning
  14. looks like a sleeper from those pictures.......sometimes you just need to scratch your itch otherwise it will just irritate you more - and us :D
  15. looks like a good start fella :salute: love the last picture, looks like a crime scene :)
  16. oohhhh......blackberries are best, its a bloody bunch of blackberries :brickwall:  whenever I skimmed past one of your posts I would always think why does that guy have what looks like a pile of poo at the bottom of his posts.......its just dawned on me ...... nice wheels by the way. :D
  17. yeah I always thought that was an irritating misight - or easy way for VW to make more money !
  18. as above really, lovely car.....cannot beat standard on speedlines. great picture as well
  19. To a certain extent I agree, there does seem to be a lot of these kind of threads poping up.......I do however find some of them interesting and the ones I don't find interesting I don't comment !! ........soooo - 'no comment'
  20. .....the weitecs we have dont have damper rate adjustment, only height adjustment :(
  21. ......oh and another thing - it has an odd driving position, not sure if it was just me but I always felt I was driving on it rather than in it :) I think a lot of hatchs suffer from this kind of thing ( i.e. focus ) - you will never feel this way in a corrado though !!
  22. I owned one for about a year......nice car but I always felt it needed a little extra poke. Very cheap to maintain in my experience and never let me down. Great fun in the corners and decent on the motorway - I did a lot of long distance in mine. Probably difficult to get now but I always fancied the Rallye instead, less is more in this case  I really like my 306 but I love my corrado :luvlove: ......says it all I suppose !!
