X 2 ......I can understand it in the US where sometimes you see cars without front number plates (not sure if thats legal or not but seem to see it a lot) but in the UK it doesnt make sense to me - all that work to just position the number plate a few inch's lower :scratch: No maybe about it, I am getting old. EDIT : sorry Wompa thats neither a tip nor an idea just a moan :lol:

White wheels are not something I would initially go for, but they look cool :salute: I know in the past we have spoken briefly about the Weitecs being too firm, so I thought I would mention that I rose the ride height on my a few weeks back - 10mm front and 15mm back.... and it has vastly improved the ride - nowhere near as harsh any more. It sounds like an obvious thing to do now looking back, but I was genuinally surprised it made such a difference !! Maybe something you might consider if you are still having problems with yours :shrug: cars looking mint though :D EDIT : I take it you didnt put the new softer springs on in the end !!

You could do it in a hire car but you wont enjoy it as much surely, and remember you are doing this for pleasure :D Road trips are great especially in a VR : just take it easy, get breakdown cover and dont be tempted to race EVERYTHING that gives you a nod !!

Those quotes dont sound to bad to be honest, I pay something similar with less no claims... Its like TAX though - its unavoidable, it doesnt make sense, everyone is paying less than you and it hurts when you have to fork out for it........I've given up trying to understand it TBH :brickwall:

I like white c's but I think as with some of the other comments you need a bit of black to break it up.....maybe front grill, splitter and handles :shrug: - as you seem to be swaying towards !! sorry really dislike rears, all red looks great on white IMO :) Great stance though, looking good :salute:

Was snooping around a white scirocco down at The Phirm a few weeks ago and my was it nice.....the guy had a remap and got an extra 70bhp for £500 :shock: - I know thats kinda old news but it still amazed me considering the amount you would have to put into a VR to get 70bhp more !!! Love the scirocco's interior aswell, seats are lovely......tough (but nice) choice to make :)

dont understand the facination with Turbo F1 cars......yes during this period the racing was far more exciting and some of the races were legendary - but surely this was down to the areo packages and tyre development - or lack off :scratch: IMO formula one has got dull as the teams are so closely matched with their areodynamics not because they lack engine power :shrug:
