You assume correctly, the auction is for the outlet only, the bolt that holds your baffle box (if your still running one on your car) to your charger is the same you can also use the o ring baffle box to charger gasket, you would just need a reducer and joiner and jubilee clips, thanks....

The Judge's G60, total rebuild...finished (almost) NEW PICS
yellowG replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Members Gallery
Going by your last engine thats a figure of around 270 bhp for an 8v G60 must be one seriously spec'd engine! looking forward to details, nice build by the way. -
I also fitted the golf G60 FMIC, fits very well, got mine from German ebay, ebay.de last year, for 300 euro around £250 , you will also need all the assosiated pipe work and fittings not a cheap modification, cost me around £500 all in! but one of the best you can do to a corrado G60 def worth it :D a few pics to show how it all roughly fits pipework charger u bend etc...

Happend to me also a few months back when i was giving it some stick! heard a load backfire from exhaust it popped a boost hose off at the intercooler....
-
Nice corrado Pedro! I agree with CTWG60, a large front mount intercooler will make a nice difference in performance especially in sunny Portugal :D I have fitted one from a non air con Golf G60 and it was quite easy to fit,you will also need all the related pipe work, look on ebay.de (ebay Germany) as I got mine from there, also the schrick 268/276 G60 camshaft works well and improves mid range and top end performance....a few other German tuning company's i have used and recomend are http://www.slstuning.de http://www.rp-motorsport.de :salute:

when i ordered my supersprint exhaust for my corrado G60 it did come with two different length centre pipes, hope that helps.
-
AAAHHH its FrankinLader!!! sorry guys but that was just to tempting :D ! just looking at it is enough to put me of....
-
I'd go with the shorter belt mate, as i got quite a bit of belt slip with the standard belt in the higher rev range when i did my chip & 68mm pulley, part number for the shorter belt is 6pk1640 got mine from german & swedish. :)

It's no subsitute for a FMIC set up (my current project) but its a mod that actualy helps the air pass out and through the standard factory intercooler helping it work more efficiently ,the problem with drilling holes is you'll get road crap blocking up the vents in your intercooler in no time, i discovered that audi had been using this idea for a while on TT's and S3's i looked in the arch of a mates audi TT and saw they have a vented grill situated directly behind the intercooler that looked about the right size for what i needed also the added bonus of keeping that factory look, so poped down to my local Audi dealer, purchased an arch liner i think it was less than £20 cut the grill out then used it as a template and then cut out a similar sized hole in my corrado's liner then rivited it into place job done! hope that helps! :D

Hi, hope this helps, my car made 191.6bhp and at the flywheel last year at stealth racing on a warmish day, vince said the standard corrado intercooler was really struggling to cope and was holding her back! Mods done K&N panel filter standard charger (rebuilt at pistops) 68mm pulley + sls tuning chip (German company) Supersprint exhaust + cat bypass modification to arch (behind intercooler) to help reduce heat soak (thanks for the tip Darren!) ported throttle body inlet 80 degree fan switch and thermostat (keeps oil temp below 100 degrees c !) will be fitting a Golf G60 front mount intercooler soon Hopefully will help get those inlet tempertures down a little and give me a few more ponies, well with any luck
-
i purchased a spare G60 throttle body (as car is my daily driver) and ported the inlet to as far as i dared! this is a picture of it against standard inlet, its improved throttle response....

My 192bhp (stealth rolling road) daily driver. still to fit golf G60 intercooler, Schrick cam. (i'm lazy) well its only taken me 3 half years to get this far!!!!
