ill get some thru work i think :) advantages of working in car retail lol, what i means was what did you wash it off with or did you just wipe it straight off?
-
with the meguairs did you just put it on neat and wipe it off? how did you get rid of the mess shall we call it lol
-
well buggar me, that sounds mint! get some pics up even if they arent your own, how much did it cost ya if you dont mind me asking, whats service history like etc?
-
has anyone done this with a PW, im scared to, have you got any pics of what you bagged up to stop water getting in. my engine bay is really dirty and i wanna clean it, ive got some APC which i will spray on the shuts and i will get some degreaser to use on it but i cant just tip a bucket of water over it to clean it, does the pressue washer just jet the water off without getting it soaking, would it be advised to have the engine running when ya do it?. stil scared to lol

looking good, only thing is having nothing in the back makes it alot louder than with seats in, advantage you have is if you ever need to put the backj seats in you can just throw them in! :)
-
in all honesty you have probably done a better job than i could ever do. wish i had the space to be able to spray stuff, i would try it but i dont think mother would agree with the back garden being blue lol

i keep everything. it just goes to show that the car has been well looked after and has had the parts changed if you ever came to sell it. my folder is about 25-30 pages thick and its got the recipt for the purhcase of it from a garage think it was 1999 this guy paid £9000 for it! lol :) i keep everything, ive still got boxes for some stereo stuff i dont own any more dunno why i havent binned em. ive got a reciept for a clifford alarm that sint even on teh car anymore :confused4: lol -
thats fine then, didnt want to think there was anything broken on it :) lol . i thought it would but just wanted to check it wasnt the car being broken :)
-
i had ficxed back buckets in one of my older cars and on a long journey they werre uncomfy, looked cool and werent too bad on short journeys but over a period of time it starts to hurt lol. i only have the corbeau clubmans so they were the cheapest ones they did, if you spent a bit of money and got a decent set i cant see them being that uncomfy! :). harnesses are good fun until you get bored of putting them on. they get a bit annoying after a while but are good at holding you, once your in tight tho you cant move! :)

looking good, always wondered what one would look like properly stripped out, what are you leaving in? everything from the rear doorcards forward or are they coming out aswell?
-

-
ok i have just had my coilovers fitted but havent lowered it yet, and the tracking is on its arse (again) should changing suspension naff it up like this or not? if not what could be wrong, had a new TRE for mot and tracking all redone, - needed steering rack re-aligning last time because it wasnt central then tracking. next question, should i have tracking done then lower it more or lower it then have tracking done! im thinking on the lines of play with it as i want then get it tracked as opposed to the other way :D

whats the red and blue banner they have at the top and bottom, is that something to do with your license and insurac or road tax etc :) -
put it this way, when you boot it, you smile, end of :). getting chains done is quite expensive if you pay a garage to do it. i rekon it would be a 5 spanner haynes job lol, i can do a bit on the car but i wouldnt attempt to do the chains on my own, pretty much full engine out job. im sure ive read somewhere that you change the clutch while its out just so its done lol
-
looks really nice that, whats it had done? what suspension etc? looks just the right ride height :)
-
looks gorgeous, love the colour, so so shiney! 8) im jealous of the weather!
-
Mines garaged but is my main car, i walk to work so i dont need to drive it everyday. the garage of mine is like 10 minute walk from my house so its not the easiest option if i just fancy going for a drive, so probably 5 days a week it stays still :)
-
will have to see what its like when i finish work :). trust me, i am so desperate to do it!!!! lol
-
weather for a change looks like its gonna be against me, i havent got a garage as such, the car is stored in a lockup which is all cobbled so i cant use a jack in there, the only place i can really do it is on the street and if the snow keeps up like it is then thats buggared that, with me being at work till 4 i only have a small time gap before it turns to the black arctic that i can do it in. Pray for good weather after 4 and ill have a look at em :D otherwise its gonna be an after work job during the week. ie after 6 :( - working it retail is gash!!!!!

i dont think he is dodgey, just doenst seem to have the time for anyone, im sure he gets alot of phonecalls which turn out to be crap but end of the day its his business and his job so he should put the effort in. Mine is on 134k and it had chains done at 113k - i would advise you get one with chains done and make sure there is proof they have been done, they are expensive otherwise. mine has just needed a rear wheel bearing and the alternator tensioner pulley (serpentine belt tensioner) changing, the tensioner cost me about £60 inc vat and the belt was about £8 inc vat. that was a SKF pulley and QH belt :) shouldnt cost more than £30-£50 to have it changed but by hell did it make a difference on the steering and the engine noise on mine! (because it aint rattling the engine sounds much better) :D

chances are if the DVLA thing went thru, just out of pure spite the arse of it would fall out lol. think how you would like it ( i know noone in the right mind would leave there C to do that) BUT gotta think of it all lol -
do what i did, read as much as you can, print off the checklist on Wiki and take it with you, check it cold check it warm and check it again, drive it, should feel smooth no juddering, smooth steering just look out for bodywork, rear arches and look try make sure that the wings are in line, (not been bent and straightenend) but end of the day, its gonna be 14+ yrs old, cant expect much for that! lol i think id rather go for one with FSH and a few more miles over one with less miles and no history!. post pics with as much info as possible and people on here will help as much as they can. there is a part on the forum where if someone lives close by they will if possible come and view the car with you to check it out! main thing is Always Haggle! - its a buyers market and unless its feww you will get something off! :)
