would be something i think id rather buy "done" than do myself. especailly after reading that post above lol!
-
must be mint to have the ability to do it, all i lack really is the space and the balls! :D lol if i had the space id buy a donor car and take that to bits to try and get it working but unfortunatly it aint happening! :(
-
did the bolts break when tightening or when you were taking them apart? shame either way, how long till there on properly, is it easy enough to get some new bolts for em! summot about your retrim i really like and something that makes me go ..ah.. im not sure, major kudos for the balls to do it mate!

are the 9000 calipers not overpower for the fronts tho, thats all i meant. surely you would end up with the arse end locking up before the front? massive respect to all the work being done tho! :) -

looking really swish mate, love the wheels! - wheel idea thief! i still had mine first lol (given yours are 9 all round mine are 9 on rear with 7.5 for front) wish i could of got mine on by now but there just seems to be something with the car that it doesnt want em putting on. every time i threaten to go and have the arches done it knackers up! :( mine are STILL stood in the porch waiting to be fitted gonna have to buy some different ones now aint i!? lol loving the cage and brakes all the same tho! :D -
did you take all the leads off at once or do em one at a time, if all at once then as said, firing order will be wrong but otherwise then im not sure.

excellent piece of engineering and i praise you for your skills in both making that engine and bodykit fit and not making it look bodged, it does look really well done, the styling is not for me but i have one question why have you made a car to hool up and down a quarter mile or round a track and made the bodywork so spendid smoothed in bumpers and such, cant be axactly the best think to be making a quick car to have loads of gobber on it? but still well done on making it also curious why you have upgraded your rear discs and left your fronts standard? :) -
there is no need in the skills you have got mate, ever need another project to practice on, give us a shout!
-
New girl, new C... Well that didn't go to plan :(

looking good, looks like you have picked a good un up there :) nice pics aswell -
really like it, love the rear lights, not sure on teh front ones. i can only see the chrome cirlces for the halo's! if they were black aswell and they just lit up white it would look loads better imo, can you take em apart and give em a blast over with some tint spray! :D lol apart from that i love the colour, think it looks well nice, maybe do the wheels matt black or satin and it would look nice, i think gloss might be a bit too shiney? - obviously if you like it then what i say doesnt matter :D looks really tidy tho :)
-
ok i ordered a switch from the dealers, is the loom the same or do i need one from a late C aswell? :?
-
Are all the headlight switchs in all models and years the same. i have managed to destroy mine and the loom that runs to the fusebox. all i need to kno can i get another loom and switch out of any corrado or aa mk2 golf as they look to have the same switch or are they all different???
-
wow. end of post
-
one of those things, they will either look feking mint or totally gash! it will give it more of the racing look but is that what you want? what size are they? 17"?? id say go for it depending on rpice and condition etc :) can always sell em on
-
number 2 and number 6 are my favorites. im really liking the background you have there, where is it?. btw i saw your car at donny in the campsite and on the showground! :D you have a good weekend apart from the crappy weather and the lovely mudbath that was the campiste- im still getting mud out of my arches :(
-
Draper ones are good but can be quite expensive :)
-
really really gutted for you mate, only thing i can say is you have found out about someone elses wiring the hard way, i have always ripped out the wiring that someone else has put in and putting my own in, still doenst really help you atm. i dont think i would say anything to insurance. either find a nice shell with a dead lump and put yours in on strip whats left and buy another one!
-
£4000 will get you a fairly decent car! dont go so much for low mileage cause all will be around the 120k mark now look for one thats got good service history and has had chains done with decent bodywork, you will find one, I waited and got a good un! and i love it :D
